In Mac, we have this application call Automator where you can program repetitive tasks into a 1-click mini application. If you are familiar with Photoshop, think of it as the Photoshop Action. The reason we’re bringing this up is because we are going to giveaway something similar for Windows and its call WinAutomation.

WinAutomation allows you to record repetitive steps and allow you to execute all of them within one single click. This greatly helps to increase productivity in work. Whether it’s routine file backup, maintaining your PC or just trying to mass rename images, you can pre-program and have them done in seconds. WinAutomation come with more than 130 predefined actions to handle some generally used task. It’s just awesome. Click here to read more about the features.

I’d love to get a free copy of this. Instead of spending hours to write a software in Vb.Net to automate a particular task, I can use the predefined actions offered by WinAutomation and save a ton of time! It even offers conditional actions, can you ask for more? :-)

I love this software … I would definitely use it to automate tasks at my home work computer (used for freelancing) while I sit at work … it would save me a lot of time, while I must currently connect to remote desktop and do these tasks remotely (this is quite slow and time consuming) … with this software I will not do this anymore, it will take care of it.
Also I like “Ping trigger”, which could help me solve several tasks on websites I developed. Also other triggers are great … file trigger could automate synchronising tasks with USB disks or work with CVS / SVN – this way I could continue long, long time … great software worth of $200, definitely!

I would love to use this to automate some of my keyword research chores. In particular, once I have narrowed down my keyword list for other factors in Micro Niche Finder, I would like to take those keywords and grab some information from SpyFu like minimum adsense CPC. This will help my productivity while digging for keywords to target on my adsense sites.

    Thanks,
    Patrick

This software is amazing. I’ve been using the trial version for about a week now and have automated so much stuff it’s like having a second me working in the background. Here’s a few things automated – Blog setups (themes, widgets, modifications etc.), posting to blogs, posting to article sites, posting to classified sites, scanning the Internet for great niche ideas, FTPing data up to and down from site, inserting Adsense and affiliate code into blog posts, and I’ve got tons more planned.

I hope this software will automate the tasks in my business I have to do, leaving me more time for the things I want and love to do. If it automates the repetitive and mundane then it’s worth its price. it looks as if i could find new uses for this software every day.
I regularly have to upload and set up wordpress sites, making them more SEO friendly . This software will help me do this far more quickly than I ever could.
    thanks.

I used to work for a big multinational whose logo is probably in your wallet. My speciality was automation. I was so bloody efficient that I automated everything in sight and there was nothing left for me to do.
If I had that product I’d have worked my way out of a job much quicker!

    Bring it on, I say.

I have used the trial version of WinAutomation and the software is absolutely amazing. I am working on using it with Yahoo Pipes to do some pretty amazing stuff. Also using it with Market Samurai to further automate keyword research. Next step a bit of Pipe magik, a little Google Trends, some Wordpress and a dab of WinAutomation to build a Blog that follows trends.

I have quite a few other tricks up my sleeve that will be really great if I can win this software

    Thanks

My business is to install and setup from scrath CMS systems, and as many know there is only a handful of quality products on the market for this, so the process is repeated and repeated over and over just to give a company/user what they need…

This would save TONS! of time of the same repetitive tasks and help to increase work flow and profits… and who doesnt need that i a recession?!

I’ve been looking into WinAuto for a few days now (thus finding myself here). I’m getting ready to start hiring people full time to take care of highly repetitive tasks that I can’t even keep up with myself these days. It sounds like WinAuto might be able to cut down on the hours I would have to pay these people, as well as limit the chance for human error! (wouldn’t that be awesome!)

Some of the tasks to perform would be…

    - automate blog posts when new products are released
    - automate order processing on new orders
    - automate backups of pc’s and servers alike
    - automate some of the highly tedious bookkeeping and analytics reports I deal with daily

I’ve used iMacro for firefox plenty to automate many of my web related tasks, and even had some scripts coded in php just to get some things done through a browser that could have been easily automated with WinAuto. Would be great to get my hands on WinAuto to really streamline things!

Macro programming is the future. Macro apps, of which WinAutomation 3.0 is the most sophisticated, can easily replace other more expensive Windows programming environments such as VB.NET, Delphi, and VBscript. Place this level of sophistication in the hands of a non-programmer, and get a polished professional application in half the time and at a quarter of the price, compared to the custom applications today’s enterprise relies on. Add to that, unlimited room for growth, and WinAutomation 3.0 becomes the only sound financial investment guaranteed to meet tomorrow’s challenges today, and keep your business on top.

Computers without Automation CAN and DO soak up time and labour like an elctronic sponge. I have seen users sit and perform the same monotonous procedure over and over again, when it could have been done once only, with a suitable macro.

For instance opening a standard document, altering the client name, and printing the document. Then doing this again another thirty times for thirty different clients.

How many times do you need to rename a bunch of files, or automatically back them up when they have been modified, or enter the same standard block of text etc etc.., the list is almost limitless. and these are just trivial tasks Winautomation enables the construction of complex reliable macros.

With Winautomation its possible to claw back a lot of that precious time. Through automation of repetitive tasks, these tasks can be performed rapidly and just as important, standardisation can be imposed and user error eliminated when performing the same task many times (providing the macro has been designed and tested correctly).

Triggers and schedules enable tasks to be performed without the user even having to remember anything.

Winautomation, although costing more than some competing macro software, appears far more polished than its competitors and the process of creating macros themselves is automated to a greater degree by the drag and drop interface, pre defined actions and the visual Job designer . All in All an excellent piece of software. I hope the winners put it to good use.

Here’s something that is just crying out for automation…

    1) get a daily e-mail containing about 30 codes for companies listed on the stock exchange (different codes every day)

    2) check the current share price for each one of them

    3) copy the prices into a speadsheet, and do some simple calcs on them

    4) e-mail that spreadsheet to about 50 people, personalising each e-mail with their name and couple of other simple bits of info

In total, about a couple of hours work that could be done in a few minutes with an automation program. Truth is, the human interaction part of it would be a few seconds, I could go and do something else entirely whilst the program is running.

I currently take all of my online earnings from several sources and manually add them to a spreadsheet, post articles to five different blogs, socially bookmark all of them and monitor email accounts for messages every day. Phew! That sounds like hard work just talking about it. All that repetitive stuff is melting my brain. You’d give me a free copy if it stopped my brain from melting, wouldn’t you? Wouldn’t you?!? (Pretty please)
