[Mac only] MacOSaiX is a free Mac application that makes creation of high resolution mosaic absolutely easy. The image above is a sample mosaic, created out of 996 photos, almost fully automated with MacOSaiX.

Using MacOSaix

1. Determine the image you want to turn into a mosaic.
2. Choose your image source. If you do not have a large achive of images, you can choose to use images from Google Image.
   
• [Google Image Search] Type in relevant keywords so the app will search for appropriate images for your mosaic.
3. Click Save and MacOSaiX will start creating your mosaic for you.
