Who hasn’t dreamt of visiting Paris once in this lifetime? Dubbed the ‘City of Light‘, Paris is one of the, if not the most, romantic city to ever grace the earth. Any tourists to this beautiful and culturally rich city will be overwhelmed with excitement by the thousands of places this city has to offer. Wherever one goes, a good photo spot is simply around the corner for one to capture the moment forever.
One famous photography spot is the magnificent thousand-feet Eiffel Tower, the global icon of France. This awe-inspiring 320-metres iron structure was built a century ago in 1889 by renowned French engineer, Gustave Eiffel, and it remains as one of the most visited and photographed monuments in the world today. Other than the phenomenal Eiffel Tower, Paris is also home to several other major attractions such as the Arc de Triomphe, Basilica of Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, The Bastille, Louvre Museum, Opéra (Paris Métro) and La Défense. The list of places for picture-taking seems never-ending.
As you can see, Paris is superb for professional and amateur photographers alike. For this very reason, we thought it will be inspiring to have an excellent collection of photos of this amazing city that might be of interest to you.

ufff, terrify… truly nice post, there are a lot of great shot
I desagree with all extreme hdr images, there are some examples here..
About Snee comment, i agree, linking the images are right, but perhaps you have to put the author in the botom of each image (in normal or small text size)… it’s better reading and in that way , as readers, we¡re going to know the photographers without follow the link-image
adeux, thanks for share Liam!

Amazing pictures of a truly inspiring city…
But pay a little attention though, it’s actually “Cité des Sciences” rather than “Cite De Ciences”. ;-)

Rahul, Pabio Erikw, Shraqs, Mahallo Media, Pat ledonio, Bebopdesigner, Divesh Jain: Thanks you, I’m glad you liked it, the idea of this post was to inspired everyone who likes exceptionally pictures, In this case Paris With all the awesome places it has to offer, in cities like this one inspiration is everywhere.
dlv: The Hdr pictures are an excellent way to show you the city as real as it can be done, with all the textures and feelings you can grab from it.
Snee, dlv: Every image links you to the artist page who took the picture, that is a motivation for you if you like it to go and see other samples of they work, not only read their name.
thomasbdl: As the titles are in english the é doesn’t exist in.

Replyhongkiat July 20th, 2009
Once again, thank you Luis for such a great collection of beautiful and inspiring photos of Paris. I guess you really need a local to give such an insight of the this City of Light :-)
ReplyBenjamin July 20th, 2009
Superb photo shoot, but what soft are you using to perform such effect on it?
ReplyHosh July 20th, 2009
Enough with HDR shots! HDR does not make any photo “exceptionally beautiful”…
Btw, it’s not “Cite de Ciences” but “Cité des Sciences”
Replyxavier July 20th, 2009
My eyes are bleading : HDR, partially desaturated pics, distorded fisheyed images … MY GOD, WHY ?
ReplySome pics are just not representative of Paris at all. Paris deserves much better.
Some are great, though, very inconsistent set.

ReplyToo much HDR!
Blogueur Influent July 20th, 2009
Creepy ! It’s like visiting Paris with the SFX maker Pitof (Vidocq, Catwoman), it has nothing to do with Paris, or quite nothing, for most of the pics. Paris monuments are not what’s important in Paris. And if you always look up with filters and fisheye, you won’t see the dogs shit that are one of the city trademarks (see Robert Altman “prêt-à-porter” for more informations about the limits of parisian “chic”).

I speak as a photographer here, CREDIT THE PHOTOGRAPHER! Links aren’t sufficient.
ReplyWilliam August 10th, 2009
The second photo in the category “The triumphal arch” is actually not “L’arc de Triomphe”, but probably some place around the Louvre Museum or “Palais Royal”, not sure.

Replycasablanca August 31st, 2009
Also, what is bejeezus is the Sacred Hearth?
Replycasablanca August 31st, 2009
No. The HDR looks completely un-natural and does not do it’s subject matter any justice. It is tacky and off-putting. People need to Chill out with the HDR.
Most of the subway shots are quite strong and evocative though.
ReplyWisdomMountain September 17th, 2009

Sympa de ce servir sur FlickR & DeviantArt, sans prévenir les auteurs, pour ce faire des articles.
Aucun copyright d’indiqué en plus. (certaines photos ont même été croppées pour enlever le copyright, ce qui est illégal)
Cool to use FlickR & DeviantArt, without any advertisement to the authors and create froù it an article here.
ReplyYou don’t even mention the copyright ! (some photos have been cropped to cut off the copyright, what is illegal)
Ashley Adams : Postcard Printing September 21st, 2009
Brilliant collection!! Though I too think the HDR looks very un-natural. Anyways, thanks for sharing them.
ReplyClark October 13th, 2009
Perhaps it’s more time consuming but you should credit the source of the photographs beyond a general link to their portfolio. In many cases you are using imagery that is under copy write.
Brilliant site and inspirational series but the photography is theirs not yours.

I look forward to your pictures.Such beautiful shots.I get goosebumps.I doubt if I will ever make it to Paris.Trying to save for a trip to the UK where my daughter’s boyfriend lives and my Brother in Law is from Wolverhampton and has family there. I try to coax my hubby to travel out west to see Mt.Rushmore,Yellowstone national park and so much more.I went out west when I was about 4 or 5.I will never forget the real ghost towns cuz there was no one else there.I guess when word got out alot more people went. This may some silly but before I die I would LOVE to see SaturdayNightLive..
