Whether you are working on a Mac, a PC, or even both, the way your workstation is setup tells more or less about your attitude and style of working. The workstation could also be your source of inspiration, therefore you might want to put in more thoughts on the place that you’ll spend most of your time at.
We crawled through the net, checking out at how people setup their workstations, focusing how what machines they use, how they are positioned, the decorations, and how other peripherals come in order. Some might think setting up a cool workstation is nothing much but an ‘ego-thing‘ but we’ll like to add a point – lots of great ideas and inspiration came from great working environment, particularly the workstation.

Awesome office/studio setups. I do have to say that the new Mac monitors are way and I mean way too glossy to do design work. I hope that they can tone that down a notch.

I worked on 3+ monitors and powerfull stations both mac and pc. In most of the cases you don’t need so much space. That’s just for fun… I’m working on a MacBook AIR hooked at the office with a Philips screen and a Windows wireless kit (very awesome). That’s basically what I use and I’m sure you can do the same. You can use a simple MacBook (PRO if you want) that can take with you everywhere and hook it to a very good monitor for daily use… that should do the trick

You may have the best workstation setup. But the most important piece of furniture in any setup, is the humble chair. If you slave long hours at your workstation, your chair will either make you, or break you. Don’t skimp when choosing one.

Some of those were interesting – but half those were just a monitor sitting on a desk with a lamp, keyboard or laptop sitting nearby — given some of the entries I’m guessing my setup could qualify (and it sucks)

why do these guys use oly LCD’s. CRT would give better resolution and clarity. would also make the work place look bigger and classier. Actually not classier! But still… CRT makes the place look more homely. cozy and comfortable. Imagine a work place with 5 CRT’s… WOOOOW… that would be messy…wouln’t it….lool . Anyways.. it was great lookin at those pictures…wish i could have my own :(

I love looking at these setups…I’m currently building mine right now and can’t wait to finish it. I’m torn between multiple cinema displays or the monster 30″ Cinema Display…not quite sure yet. But it will be awesome when it is finished….I can’t wait.
