If you pay attention to the types of traffic you are getting in your website or blog, you should be able to tell if most of them are organic traffics from search engines, or direct referrals. Organics traffics from search engines convert good to CPC, but visitors who visit your site on regular basis (the direct ones) will hardly clicks on these CPC ads. To convert this type of traffics to revenue, using CPM ads are one good solution.
CPM (Cost Per thousand Impressions), generally on publishers’ point of views are how much one can earn when an ad gets 1000 impressions on the website. Some ad networks pay $3/CPM, some $4, but the average is about that. If you have 700 regular unique visitors generates about 1000 impressions a day on your site, these people are not likely to click on CPC ads, so I’d say CPM ads are probably a better way out. Here’s few of the top paying CPM ad networks that I’ve come to know, used or heard before. If you have more, I’d be happy to add them in. Full list after jump.

Hello !
ReplyDo you know what kinds of ads they normally display? Image ads?
Which one do you think is the best for Asian publisher?
hongkiat January 17th, 2008
CPM are usually image ads. Some CPM ads pays on any type of traffics (whether they come from US, or they come from any part of Asia), while some CPM ads are geo-location based; also different visitors cross the region sees different ads.
So where your blog is coming from is not important, just make sure you know where most your visitors are coming from (check with alexa or google analytics) and how much impressions and unique you are generating on daily/monthy basis.

The only ad network I have ever had success with was ViralyticsMedia.com. They are more of a site repping company, but if you can get in with them they are pretty solid. Customer support sucks, but they pay well.

Yeah, I worked with Viralytics Media last year on a American Express campaign. All really nice people and paid very well. I would recommend them.

Most of these advertisers have very low cpm rates, 8 cents to 25cents per 1000 impression. Could you tell us which advertiser pays $3 to $4 cpm?
Replyjohn July 29th, 2008
Have you actually used these networks? Most of them sucks! CPXinteractive, Bannerconnect, Adtegrity pay as low as $.04 per 1000 impression.
