How to Remove a Background from an Image

First, go to Clipping Magic and upload the image you want to edit. Depending on the file size, you might have to wait a bit.

Upload image interface

Once uploaded, you’ll see two versions of your image: the ‘Original+Mask’ and the ‘Result Preview’.

Two image previews

Use the green brush on the ‘Original+Mask’ image to highlight the parts you want to keep. For this example, we’re keeping the hero and the Android.

Highlighting the part to keep

Press the Spacebar to switch the brush to red, and highlight the areas you want to remove. You’ll see the changes in the ‘Result Preview’.

Limitations

Clipping Magic is a smart tool, but it has a drawback: you can’t adjust the brush size. If you find the default size too big, try zooming in on the image. The brush will appear smaller when zoomed in.
