So when someone came up to you and asked, so what’s so great about the iPhone. You’ll probably show them how cool the iPod cover flow is, or maybe how you can multi-touch zoom in and out of the photos; flipped them, etc. I’ve got to be honest, those are part of the attractions why I got myself an iPhone even when its not officially launch here in my country but however I’ve found cooler stuff in iPhone - the ability to support tones of cool applications and most importantly, rich 3rd party application developers.
At least 2 new applications are added to Installer.app for iPhone each day. Installer.app not only opens up the gate to rich 3rd party application but also keeping the install/uninstall steps easy. Here are some iPhone applications you should install, or at least try using them.

Can i install this application on Ipod Touch?
Replyhongkiat November 13th, 2007
yes you can, but you need to be careful. not all applications are ipod touch supported. the notice is usually within the description of the app.
ReplyNicholas November 13th, 2007
Like the navizon, I believe it will not works with touch because don’t have GSM.
I see my MSN name on your Apollo. Hehe, anyway, Apollo doesn’t work for me, same as MobileChat, I think it’s maybe because I got over 300 contacts and it always hang when loading contact list.
As for the NES, at first I thought it was cool but not really, pressing key feels like you press nothing.
Anyway, cool list. =)

You forgot Dock (Sunburst) so you can take screenshots and stuff.
ReplyThen you would have been able to have a lot better pics of the apps ;)

Im having problem with my iphone version 1.0.2. I think downloaded many applications and now the Installer Application icon doesn’t appear on the main menu. What can i do to make it appear again? Do i reinstall the Installer app again?
Im lost here and would appreciated you could give me a hand…
Thank you.
Replyhongkiat November 28th, 2007
That’s probably because you are still on firmware 1.0.2 and you’ve updated the installer or apps that requires 1.1.1. Perhaps you should backup your phone and update it to firmware 1.1.1.
ReplyJohn November 30th, 2007
How do i install it, and is it compadible with version 1.1.2 ?
Replygreyman December 11th, 2007
My Installer disappeared after a flurry of app installations. I think this problem is so basic that a lot of the people on forums and developers are offering help which is way past over the heads of the newbie Iphone non-tech types like me. Try this work around using Nate True’s iBrickr version: 0.91. It works on Windows or Mac. First install Ibrickr on your PC or Mac. Follow the instructions in the site http://cre.ations.net/creation/ibrickr, download the Zip file, extract it to your desktop, and run ibrickr.exe. When it says Welcome to iBrickr! You are ‘Ready to rock! Pick your poison: ‘etc. Click Applications. On the Applications Manager click Browse Applications then scroll to Dock v2.06.and install Dock application to your IPhone. Allow up to 30 seconds for the install to finish - your phone will soft-restart when it’s complete. This adds a little sunburst icon to the lower corner of the screen. From here you can now view your Installer and whatever else 3rd party apps you have added. I am not sure if the unhacked versions have a way of avoiding this problem but maybe I reading the wrong help sites. If you have a hacked phone then skip the part where Nate tells you how to jailbreak the phone and restore settings through Itunes. Watch the video and I hope this helps.

Summerboard always seems to make my iphone really unstable. I don’t have it installed anymore and it seems more stable. I think it is also worth keeping a collection of web apps handy on Launchrz ( http://launchrz.com ) - for example, i find FlickIM to be better than Apollo or MobileChat

my suggestion to you is, remove those 3rd party applications you are not using off the iphone.
ReplyDave March 27th, 2008
Where can I get these apps. I have installer but cannot find the finder app anywhere?
Replymichael April 12th, 2008
@dave
Finder is called mobilefinder in installer, also make sure you have all the sources mentioned.
If you arn’t jailbroken and want 1.1.4 jailbreak download ziphone here: http://www.ziphone.org/
I would also add tap tap revolution to this list ( a guitar hero type game)

I have iPhone version 1.0.2 - If I upgrade to the latest firmware through iTunes, can I then jailbreak etc this version using ZiPhone and will it work ok?
Replyhongkiat May 15th, 2008
@Paul Yeap, as the matter of fact I just did the same thing to an iPhone yesterday. It work perfectly. But you might wanna backup your contacts and SMS (if you wish).
One more thing, apps installed will be gone after upgrading to the latest firmware.
