We’ve previously showcased some really nice Mac wallpapers and Windows wallpapers. This time around we want to give Ubuntu a try. This following entry is dedicated to all you Ubuntu users. We figured you could wear it proud and for starters, a nice Ubuntu wallpaper on the desktop.
Finding sets of nice looking Ubuntu wallpapers was one challenging task and here’s what we managed to collect – 60 Beautiful Ubuntu Desktop Wallpapers. Full list after jump.

I can’t help but smile because it seems that none of those come from http://www.ubuntu-art.org/ (I thought that website was the main source for everything related to ubuntu themes and wallpapers – seems I was wrong at least for the wallpapers, woops :) )

Some very nice wallpapers. Just one problem with all of them: they contain Ubuntu branding! I prefer the GNOME approach, wallpapers are all generic and contain no branding.

Excellent wallpaper collection! I’m adding most (if not all) to my wallpaper rotation.
Just one note. The URI you have in the link to the Glossy Ubuntu wallpaper (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/preview.php?preview=1&id=66593&file1=66593-1.jpg&file2=66593-2.jpg&file3=66593-3.jpg&name=Glossy+Ubuntu+wallpaper) takes you to the preview page for the wallpaper. Must be an Epiphany glitch. When I fired up Fx2 I was able to download them. Silly website, not supporting the GNOME browser. :(

Beautiful as these are, only one or two of them would actually confirm to the Canonical guidelines for official wallpapers: no logo, no text. That doesn’t mean they’re not great though and people just love to show off their brand of choice I suppose.
