Well, this is a great article. I’ve used most of the online tools before and will happily recommend it to others as well.

    Cheers.

I’m sorry but as a designer i don’t need to be told what colours to use together. I am creative enough and know a thing or two about colours and design.

So I would not class these tools as designers tools but rather for people with no design knowledge who want to pretend to be a designer, or someone working on their own site who has not done any design before.

This list of resources is great, but what I would really love to get is a book of color schemes and palettes.

I cant seem to find any (good ones) online. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You listed all my favorites with the exception of the color thesaurus: http://www.hp.com/idealab/us/en/colorimage.html. Its an extremely useful tool when discussing and selecting colors.

I had recently published a similar article, promoting some of the same tools. When I was searching to see if my article had been picked up yet by search engines I came across your post.

The problem is, I also came across this:
    http://ploncux.wordpress.com/2008/06/12/best-color-tools-for-web-designers/
It appears to be a duplicate copy of your work so I thought you might like to know about it.

Please note - just in case my comment was not clear. I found your post and the copied post when I was searching on Google for a different article.

The Google results clearly showed that both hongkiat.com and that other blog have the same description snippet. So I went and looked. When I came here I could see that your content was published before the content on that other site.

That is the reason I reported this to you - because I thought you would want to know. I hate it when people steal my content and assumed you would want to know if someone has stolen your content. I did not expect the kind of email you sent to me.

Do you seriously think that I would create a badly-written blog just to steal content, then post a comment to tell you about it? And that I would provide my real name, real email address, real IP, real website, and my photograph to you if I was the kind of low-life thief you have accused me of being?

I was simply trying to be helpful to you, that is all.
