This is a bit nitpicky, but…I loved the MacBook Air wallpaper, but it would drive me nuts to use it. The song on the MacBook Air commercials is “New Soul.” Consequently, the text on that one should read “I’m a new soul” and “I’m a young soul.”

I know that’s a silly complaint, but I thought you might like to know. I will be using a lot of these gorgeous wallpapers. Thank you so much for offering them.

I’ve never understood the point of staring at a computer ad for your own computer. Please, don’t read this as a jab or critique, some of those wallpapers are quite stylish, but they would work just as well with any graphic other than the Apple logo. Yes, it’s a neat logo, but the whole religiosity thing is a bit ridiculous IMHO.

Just so you know, I’m even more vocal about Windows wallpapers. I consider it an insult to design a gorgeous abstract image, then soil it with a product name. There have been a few times where I’ve run a branded image through Photoshop to carefully erase the “stain”.

What if a non-Mac user (such as myself) finds the image appealing but obviously doesn’t want to cross signals ? Or is that the goal, to intentionally devaluate the item in the eyes of outsiders ?

So how does one think? When using one of these sardine cans with chips, one thinks DIFFERENTLY … (one hopes) … it’s an adverb, stupid. It modifies the verb; hence, must end with “LY.” Double DUH.

Little wonder Apple plays second fiddle with this stuff.

Firstly, I can understand why, if you are not into the Mac logo, you might say that about the wallpapers.

But however beautiful you might find them, and however much you might wish to use the minus the “stain”, that is how they are. There are many, many, things created throughout history, nevermind anything today, that may have been “stained” by a particular image. But this is because this image is what motivated the creator to create. Honestly, you can’t expect them to be different, because if they were, they would be *different*. They might not even exist at all.

What if Dante never created the Divine Comedy? What if his religious fixation never drove him to write that masterpiece? Or if Milton, for the very same reason, did not write Paradise Lost? What if Monet painted the clouds blue, instead of the colors he saw from the inspiration of his eyes? Every creation, especially every artistic creation throughout time has always been created in a certain light for a reason.

And yes, this is just a wallpaper for a computer. And just a computer. But I take offense to those who cry out against how someone’s work. Art in it’s very foundation is about the very thing you call a “stain”. There are many “stains” in a person’s mind. But what genius would there be if there wasn’t?

If you want something to be different, there is only one answer for that. Create it yourself.

It\’s taken the USA by storm and people are earning big bucks with through healthy chocolate…sounds good to me!
