Here are some odd and funny tricks you can do on your friend\u2019s new Mac just for fun.<\/p>\n<p>These keyboard shortcuts allow you to perform these effects in a split second. You\u2019ll be surprised how many Mac users don\u2019t know how they are done.<\/p>\n<p>Full list after the jump.<\/p>\n<h2>Zoom In \/ Out<\/h2>\n<p>Okay, this is not the best of all, but it may still trick some. Mac comes with a screen zoom in\/out function. The keyboard shortcut here is:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zoom In<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"key\">Command<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">Option<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">+<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Zoom Out<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"key\">Command<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">Option<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">\u2013<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If it does not work for you, it\u2019s probably because the <em>zoom control is locked<\/em>. Here\u2019s how you trigger the zoom control lock\/unlock:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Toggle Zoom On\/Off<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"key\">Command<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">Option<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">8<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Contrast<\/h2>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/mac-contrast.jpg\" alt=\"Mac contrast trick\"><\/figure>\n<p>I\u2019m not sure if adjusting your screen contrast is really useful, but there\u2019s a shortcut on Mac to turn your screen into contrast mode. Here\u2019s how you do it:<\/p>\n<p>To <strong>increase contrast<\/strong>, keep pressing<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"key\">Control<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">Option<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">Command<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>To <strong>decrease contrast<\/strong>, keep pressing<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"key\">Control<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">Option<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">Command<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">,<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Invert<\/h2>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/mac-invert.jpg\" alt=\"Mac invert trick\"><\/figure>\n<p>Inverting turns the screen to opposite colors, so it won\u2019t hurt the eyes when you\u2019re staring at the screen in the dark. However, for those who don\u2019t know Mac is capable of inverting your screen, they might think it\u2019s a problem with their LCD. Invert screen stays even after rebooting the Mac, so unless you know where to change it back, it\u2019s going to stay forever.
