Here is a simple Photoshop tutorial on how to add curves to photos, making them more interesting on views.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Plan how big your image will initially be, and <em><strong>create a new canvas with white background. Create a new layer<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>draw a rectangular<\/strong><\/em> at any color. This rectangular represents the size of your photo. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/photo-curve\/01.png\"><\/p>\n<p>Create a new layer on top, use Pen tool and draw something like this. I\u2019ll use red color for now to differenciate these 2 elements. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/photo-curve\/02.png\"> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/photo-curve\/03.png\"><\/p>\n<p>Move the rectangular layer up, right click on <em><strong>Blending Options<\/strong><\/em>. Enter the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Drop Shadow<\/strong><\/li>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/photo-curve\/blending01.png\"><\/p>\n<li><strong>Inner Shadow<\/strong><\/li>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/photo-curve\/blending02.png\"><\/p>\n<li><strong>Gradiant Overlay<\/strong><\/li>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/photo-curve\/blending03.png\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Location:0% Color:#dadbdf<\/li>\n<li>Location:100% Color:#f1f1f1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li><strong>Stroke<\/strong><\/li>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/photo-curve\/blending04.png\">\n<\/p><\/ul>\n<p>Select the layer with the red element, right click and select <em><strong>Blending Options<\/strong><\/em>. Choose <em><strong>Color Overlay<\/strong><\/em> and select black color. Now that it turned black and behind your rectangular, go to <em><strong>Filter<\/strong><\/em> -&gt; <em><strong>Blur<\/strong><\/em> -&gt; <em><strong>Gaussian Blur<\/strong><\/em> and enter <em>radius 5.9<\/em>. You should now have something that looks like this image. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/photo-curve\/04.png\"><\/p>\n<p>Change the shadow layer\u2019s Opacity to 19%, it should look sweet.
