I first came across it while browsing the official <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/TelegramMessenger\/Telegram-iOS\">Telegram iOS GitHub repo<\/a>, and it turns out you can now create a contact in iOS that lets Siri (and CarPlay) send messages to your Telegram bot by voice. No third-party apps, no shortcuts, no workarounds.<\/p>\n<p>I use this to ping my OpenClaw bot hands-free while driving. It just works.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"bot-peer-id\">Bot Peer ID First<\/h2>\n<p>Before setting things up, you need your bot\u2019s Peer ID. It\u2019s buried in your bot\u2019s API token.<\/p>\n<p>Open the chat with your bot in Telegram. If you created the bot via @BotFather, the confirmation message includes the API token, something like <code>851234567:AA...<\/code>. The Peer ID is the number before the colon. In that example, <code>851234567<\/code>.<\/p>\n<p>If you can no longer find that message, open <strong>@BotFather<\/strong>, select your bot, tap <strong>API Token<\/strong>, and Telegram will show the token again.<\/p>\n<p>Write it down. Tap the <strong>+<\/strong> button to add a new contact.<\/p>\n<p>Pick a short name, something Siri can recognise easily and unambiguously. I went with \u201cClaw\u201d, but \u201cOpenClaw\u201d or \u201cMyBot\u201d works just as well. Avoid names that sound like other contacts.<\/p>\n<p>Scroll down, tap <strong>add url<\/strong>, change the label to <strong>Telegram<\/strong> (this part matters, so don\u2019t skip it), then paste:<\/p>\n<pre>https:\/\/t.me\/@oid&lt;PEER_ID&gt;<\/pre>\n<p>Replace <code>&lt;PEER_ID&gt;<\/code> with your actual number. So if your Peer ID is <code>851234567<\/code>, the full URL becomes:<\/p>\n<pre>https:\/\/t.me\/@oid851234567<\/pre>\n<p>Save the contact.<\/p>\n<figure>\n  <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/use-siri-message-telegram-bot\/create-contact.jpg\" alt=\"Create Telegram contact\" width=\"972\" height=\"1760\"><figcaption>Add a contact, switch the URL label to Telegram, and paste in the bot link with your Peer ID.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 id=\"one-prerequisite\">One Prerequisite<\/h2>\n<p>Make sure you\u2019re using the official Telegram app on iPhone and that it\u2019s reasonably up to date. This trick relies on Telegram\u2019s iOS contact integration, so if the Telegram URL label does not show up in Contacts, update the app first.<\/p>\n<p>The bot won\u2019t respond unless you\u2019ve already sent it at least one message from your account. If you\u2019ve never chatted with it before, open the bot in Telegram, hit Start or send any message, then come back.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"using-it\">Using It<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Say <strong>\u201cHey Siri, message Claw on Telegram\u201d<\/strong>, using whatever name you gave the contact.<\/li>\n<li>Siri opens the Telegram chat with your bot and is ready for your next voice command.<\/li>\n<li>On CarPlay, the same contact appears in your app list and responds to your car\u2019s voice assistant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It\u2019s the same mechanism, just carried over to a driving context.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-works\">What Actually Works<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Any Telegram bot you have an existing chat with, not just OpenClaw bots.<\/li>\n<li>The contact name needs to be short and distinct.
