If you\u2019re one of the unlucky ones, don\u2019t panic just yet. Try the following solutions before considering sending it to Apple Support.<\/p>\n

Restart Your iPhone<\/h2>\n

Turn off your iPhone and wait for about a minute or so before turning it back on to see if Face ID is working.<\/p>\n

To turn off your iPhone, go to Settings<\/strong> > General<\/strong>, scroll down, and tap \u201cShut Down<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

To turn on the iPhone again, press the Sleep\/Wake<\/strong> button on the side.<\/p>\n

If the methods above didn\u2019t work, you might need to restore your iPhone. However, proceed with caution and ensure you have backed up your iPhone<\/strong> before doing so.<\/p>\n

Step 1. Backup iPhone<\/h3>\n

For Mac users, you can back up either via iCloud<\/a> (ensure you have enough storage space) or through your Mac using Finder<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Backup with iCloud<\/strong><\/p>\n

To ensure iCloud backup is turned on, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Go to Settings<\/strong> and tap on your name at the top. <\/li>\n

  2. Navigate to iCloud<\/strong> > iCloud Backup<\/strong>. <\/li>\n
