Did you ever receive a pop-up error on your iPhone saying \u201cCannot Verify Server Identity<\/strong>,\u201d often mentioning \u201cThe identity of some-random-domain.com<\/em> cannot be verified<\/strong>\u201c? I encountered this issue recently, and it can be quite bothersome. Interestingly, it doesn\u2019t always show up but pops up from time to time.<\/p>\n

\"Cannot<\/figure>\n

This problem typically arises when one or more services on your phone attempt to connect to an internet service that\u2019s either no longer active or isn\u2019t secure. Often, this involves subscription calendars or a mail sevice that have expired.<\/p>\n

The good news, however, is that this issue is relatively straightforward to fix.<\/p>\n

How to Solve It?<\/h2>\n

Pay attention to the message stating \u201cThe identity of some-random-domain.com<\/em> cannot be verified.\u201d If you recognize the domain as belonging to a calendar you subscribed to, you\u2019ll need to delete that calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, if it\u2019s related to a mail app, you should delete that email account<\/a> and consider re-adding it later.<\/p>\n

1. Calendar <\/h3>\n

Go to Settings<\/strong> > Calendar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Then, under \"Subscribed Calendars<\/strong>\", delete the one from the domain mentioned in the error message.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s it.<\/p>\n

2. Mail App<\/h3>\n

If the previous steps don\u2019t resolve the issue, it might not be the calendar but your Mail app. In that case, do the following:<\/p>\n
