By automatically updating the Smartsheet spreadsheet whenever a new row is added to the Google spreadsheet, users can easily access and work on the same data set<\/strong>, regardless of their preferred platform. How Does This Work?<\/h2>\n

When new roles of data are added to a Google Sheet:<\/p>\n

To begin integrating between Google Sheets<\/a> and Smartsheets<\/a>, we will be using Zapier<\/strong>. If you do not already have an account with these platforms, you can sign up (for free) by clicking the corresponding buttons below.<\/p>\n

Once you have successfully signed up or if you already have an account, log in to your Zapier, Google Sheets, and Smartsheets accounts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What We\u2019re Going to Do<\/h2>\n

For this tutorial, we will be using a Google Sheets spreadsheet that consists of several columns: First Name<\/em>, Last Name<\/em>, Job Title<\/em>, Age<\/em>, and Nationality<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The goal is to ensure that when a new row of data is added to this spreadsheet, it will automatically be reflected in Smartsheet without the need for manual data entry.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s do it!<\/p>\n

1. Create Spreadsheets in Smartsheet and Google Sheets<\/h2>\n

Start by creating a new sheet in both Google Sheets and Smartsheet. Ensure they have identical columns, labeled as \u201cFirst Name<\/em>\u201c, \u201cLast Name<\/em>\u201c, \u201cTitle<\/em>\u201c, \u201cAge<\/em>\u201c, and \u201cNationality<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n

Give each spreadsheet a name. For example, name the Google Sheets spreadsheet \u201cInterviewee Information (GS)<\/strong>\u201d and the Smartsheet spreadsheet \u201cInterviewee Information (SS)<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n

2. Create Integrations with Zapier<\/h2>\n

First, we\u2019ll link Zapier to Google Sheets.<\/p>\n

  3. Click on the first row of \u201c1. New Spreadsheet Row in Google Sheets\u201d<\/em> and then click \u201cSign in.<\/strong>\u201c<\/li>\n

      Under the \u201cFree<\/em>\u201d and \u201cStarter<\/em>\u201d plans, the update time is 15 minutes, which means that Zapier checks for new data and updates your Zap every 15 minutes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
