Accidentally deleting files or videos on your computer can be a very frustrating experience, especially if they are of importance. However, not all are lost.<\/p>\n

The good news is that \u2013 there\u2019s a high chance they are recoverable. And in this post, I will cover several methods to recover deleted videos with native Windows tools, as well as a 3rd-party file recovery tool.<\/p>\n

First, Try This\u2026<\/h2>\n

Whenever the delete command is executed, the file is moved from its current location to the Recycle Bin. That means, technically, the file is still recoverable until you clear the Recycle Bin.<\/p>\n

To recover the deleted file, go to the respective folder where the file was, right-click and select \u201cUndo Delete\u201d.<\/p>\n

This will bring the file back to its origin from Recycle Bin.<\/p>\n

Recover with Window\u2019s Backup and Restore<\/u><\/h2>\n

You can also restore deleted files from a backup created with Window\u2019s Backup and Restore feature.<\/p>\n

Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Connect to the external storage device of your backup files.<\/li>\n
  2. In the search box, type \"Control Panel\" then hit Enter<\/span>.<\/li>\n
  3. Search for the deleted files in the result and select \"Backup and Restore\".<\/li>\n
  4. Select another backup to restore files from, select the location of your external storage device, and follow the on-screen instructions to restore your files.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Recover with Window\u2019s File History<\/u><\/h2>\n

    File History in Windows 10, and 11 automatically creates an additional copy of your files. However, for this to work, it must first be turned on.<\/p>\n

    Step 1: Turn on File History<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Press Win<\/span> + R<\/span> to launch the Run command box.<\/li>\n
    2. Type in FileHistory<\/code> and hit Enter<\/span>.<\/li>\n
    3. Connect your Windows to an external storage device.<\/li>\n
    4. Click \u201cTurn On\u201d to enable File History.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Step 2: Recover deleted files using File History<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Type restore files<\/code> in the search box of the taskbar.<\/li>\n
      2. Select \u201cRestore your files with File History\u201d.<\/li>\n
      3. Look for the file you want to recover, then select \u201cRestore\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Recover Using a Third-party Software<\/u><\/h2>\n

        If all else fails, then your last resort would be to recover with the help of a third-party application.<\/p>\n

        There are a plethora of data recovery tools out there, but in this post, I will focus on one of them \u2013 Tenorshare 4DDiG<\/a>, and I will provide a walkthrough of how to get it done with the said application.<\/p>\n
