Released in August 2022, it allows you to create realistic images from the text provided, a.k.a, text-to-image.<\/p>\n<p>Though Stable Diffusion is a free and open-source machine learning model, it produced high-quality images not very different from DALL-E 2 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hongkiat.com\/blog\/midjourney-ai-art\/\">Midjourney<\/a>.\u00a0You can use use its <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stablediffusionweb.com\/prompts\">online version<\/a> or you can install a standalone desktop version and run it even if you are offline.<\/p>\n<h2>Requirements to run Stable Diffusion on Mac<\/h2>\n<p>Before we start, let\u2019s look at some of the prerequisites:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>macOS 12.5.1 or higher.<\/li>\n<li>Mac with Apple silicon (recommended).<\/li>\n<li>8GB or 16GB of RAM for optimal performance.<\/li>\n<li>Mac with M1 or M2 chip (recommended), or Intel-based Mac (performance may be slower).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to run stable diffusion on your Mac<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/diffusionbee.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">DiffusionBee<\/a> website, and click <strong>Download for macOS<\/strong> to download the app.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/stable-diffusion-mac\/download-for-macos.jpg\" alt=\"diffusion bee for mac\" width=\"1500\" height=\"745\"><\/figure>\n<li>Once the download is complete, install it and open up the DiffusionBee app.<\/li>\n<li>If this is your first time using the app, there will be some additional downloads of models. It will take some time, depending on your internet connection.
