You can use it to convert images into different formats. For this, you\u2019ll first need to create a shortcut that converts images to a specific format, and then you can execute it anywhere on the device whenever needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>iPad or iPhone running iOS 16 or later.<\/li>\n<li>Shortcuts App.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Launch Shortcuts, then tap the + sign to add a new shortcut.<\/li>\n<p>  <span class=\"su-lightbox\" data-mfp-src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-images-iphone-ipad\/original\/select-photos.jpg\" data-mfp-type=\"image\" data-mobile=\"yes\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-images-iphone-ipad\/select-photos.jpg\" alt=\"select photos\" width=\"1500\" height=\"842\"><\/span><\/p>\n<li>Tap \u201cNew Shortcut\u201d and then select \u201cRename\u201d and give your shortcut a name.<\/li>\n<p>  <span class=\"su-lightbox\" data-mfp-src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-images-iphone-ipad\/original\/launch-shortcuts.jpg\" data-mfp-type=\"image\" data-mobile=\"yes\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-images-iphone-ipad\/launch-shortcuts.jpg\" alt=\"launch shortcuts\" width=\"1500\" height=\"742\"><\/span><\/p>\n<li>For iOS users, tap \u201cAdd Action\u201d and search for the \u201cSelect Photos\u201d action.<\/li>\n<li>For iPadOS users, search for \u201cSelect Photos\u201d directly from the right column.<\/li>\n<p>  <span class=\"su-lightbox\" data-mfp-src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-images-iphone-ipad\/original\/give-it-a-name.jpg\" data-mfp-type=\"image\" data-mobile=\"yes\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-images-iphone-ipad\/give-it-a-name.jpg\" alt=\"name the shortcut\" width=\"1500\" height=\"656\"><\/span><\/p>\n<li>Tap to add it, then tap the arrow beside \u201cSelect photos\u201d and turn \u201cSelect Multiple\u201d on.<\/li>\n<p>  <span class=\"su-lightbox\" data-mfp-src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-images-iphone-ipad\/original\/select-multiple.jpg\" data-mfp-type=\"image\" data-mobile=\"yes\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-images-iphone-ipad\/select-multiple.jpg\" alt=\"turn multiple on\" width=\"1500\" height=\"703\"><\/span><\/p>\n<li>In the search bar (bottom in iOS, right side in iPadOS), type in \u201cConvert Image\u201d and then tap to add it to your shortcut.<\/li>\n<p>  <span class=\"su-lightbox\" data-mfp-src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-images-iphone-ipad\/original\/convert-image-option.jpg\" data-mfp-type=\"image\" data-mobile=\"yes\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-images-iphone-ipad\/convert-image-option.jpg\" alt=\"convert image\" width=\"1500\" height=\"894\"><\/span><\/p>\n<li>This will allow the shortcut to later convert to JPEG format. Tap on the JPEG to change it to other formats if you prefer. Or tap the arrow to make changes to Quality and Preserve Metadata.<\/li>\n<p>  <span class=\"su-lightbox\" data-mfp-src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-images-iphone-ipad\/original\/tap-jpeg.jpg\" data-mfp-type=\"image\" data-mobile=\"yes\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-images-iphone-ipad\/tap-jpeg.jpg\" alt=\"tap jpeg\" width=\"1500\" height=\"780\"><\/span><\/p>\n<li>Back to the search box, search and add \u201cSave to Photo Album\u201d.
