In this post, I\u2019ll share two of the quickest ways to do it. One involves getting a VPN installed on your Smart TV that <a href=\"#yes-play-store\">supports the Google Play Store<\/a> and <a href=\"#no-play-store\">one that doesn\u2019t<\/a>. Smart TV supports Google Play Store<\/h2>\n<p>The easiest way to install a VPN on your Smart TV is through the Google Play Store. Smart TV does not support Google Play Store<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techpenny.com\/tvs-google-play-store\/\">Not every Smart TV supports Google Play Store<\/a>, but this should not keep you from reaping the benefits of a VPN. So, this method is for those who own a TV that doesn\u2019t support Google Play Store.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of installing a VPN on your Smart TV, you can install and run it on your Windows computer and share your PC\u2019s Internet connection (turning it into a hotspot) with your Smart TV.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how to do it:<\/p>\n<h3>Instructions<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Install and run the VPN app on your Windows<\/li>\n<li>Type \u201cmobile hotspot settings\u201d in your Windows search bar and hit search.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/vpn-on-smart-tv\/windows-search-bar.jpg\" alt=\"Windows search bar\" width=\"1200\" height=\"657\"><\/figure>\n<li>Under \u201cMobile Hotspot\u201d, click the \u201cOff\u201d once to turn on mobile hotspot. Then under &gt; \u201cTurn on remotely\u201d, click the \u201cOn\u201d once to turn it on.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/vpn-on-smart-tv\/turn-on-remote.jpg\" alt=\"turn on remotely\" width=\"1039\" height=\"677\"><\/figure>\n<li>Go to your Smart TV, and attempt to connect it to your Windows\u2019 WiFi.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>That\u2019s all. So now, when your Smart TV connects to the Internet through your PC, you\u2019ll be able to use the VPN.<\/p>\n<p>This same method can be used on Macs or smartphones (whether they run Android or iOS). All you need to do is make sure your device is connected to a VPN, turn on the hot spot and get the Smart TV to connect to it.<\/p>\n<h2>Final thoughts<\/h2>\n<p>Apart from the two methods of using a VPN on your Smart TV, there are other alternative methods as well. For instance, you can configure your router to access VPN.
