It has already been few times my Show Desktop shortcut corrupts itself out of no reason.<\/p>\n<p>So just in case you are encountering the same thing or you don\u2019t have a Show Desktop and intended to put one, here\u2019s how you can create\/restore them manually.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Create Show Desktop manually<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Launch a Notepad. <strong>Start<\/strong> -> <strong>Run<\/strong> -> <strong>Notepad<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Insert the following in the notepad\n    <span class=\"style1\">[Shell]\n    Command=2\n    IconFile=explorer.exe,3\n    [Taskbar]\n    Command=ToggleDesktop<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Choose <strong>File<\/strong> -&gt; <strong>Save<\/strong> as and save as <strong>Show Desktop.scf<\/strong> on desktop.<\/li>\n<li>Put it back where it was originally belonged.\n<ul>\n<li><u>Microsoft Windows 95<\/u>, <u>Microsoft Windows 98<\/u>\n        <span class=\"style3\">Windows\\Application Data\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\\Quick Launch <\/span>\n<\/li>\n<li><u>Microsoft Windows NT<\/u>, <u>Microsoft Windows 2000<\/u>, and <u>Microsoft Windows XP<\/u> \n        <span class=\"style3\">C:\\Documents and Settings\\Username\\Application Data\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\\Quick Launch<\/span>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Done!
