Well, there are still some ways with which you can turn on the Low Power Mode on your MacBook and save more juice so it can run longer.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, this will limit the performance of your MacBook but you\u2019ll be doing a great favor to the life span of your Mac\u2019s battery. If your device meets these requirements, you can go ahead and follow these simple steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Anywhere on your Mac, press <span class=\"key\">Command<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">Space<\/span> to open the Spotlight Search.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/macos-low-power-mode\/macbook-spotlight.jpg\" width=\"1000\" height=\"805\" alt=\"Turn on Low Power Mode on macOS Monterey\"><\/figure>\n<li>Here, type <strong>Battery<\/strong> and click it.<\/li>\n<li>A window will appear and this is literally everything there is to it. You will see <strong>two options<\/strong> at the very bottom, one is to <strong>display the battery status in your menu bar<\/strong>, and the other one is to <strong>enable the Low Power Mode<\/strong>. Enable the latter and you\u2019re done.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/macos-low-power-mode\/macbook-low-power-mode.jpg\" width=\"1000\" height=\"805\" alt=\"Turn on Low Power Mode on macOS Monterey\"><\/figure>\n<\/ol>\n<p>By turning on the first option, you can <strong>toggle between standard and Low Power Mode<\/strong> by just clicking on the battery icon on your menu bar. If you don\u2019t turn this option on, you will need to go back to the Battery\u2019s settings page every time to manually turn it off, which is quite the hassle.<\/p>\n<p>In case you are using an old Macbook and it is running slow, chances are your Spotlight Search might not function properly, especially if it\u2019s at least 5 years old. In which case, you can do things manually:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>If you have <strong>Systems Preferences<\/strong> in your dock, click on it. Meaning, if you turn on Low Power Mode, your Macbook\u2019s performance will be halved.
