You really don\u2019t need to open it to convert it, but I\u2019m showing my sample here just in case. In my sample PDF, there are two pages, and once we run the automation, it should create two separate JPEG files.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-pdf-images-macos\/automator-7.jpg\" width=\"1000\" height=\"805\" alt=\"How to Convert PDF to Image File on Mac\"><\/figure>\n<p>So, once you have your PDF, <strong>right-click it and you will see two options<\/strong> here:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>If you are on the <strong>latest Monterey version<\/strong> or even Big Sur, you will see an option at the very bottom saying \u201cQuick Actions\u201d. Hover over this and click your <strong>Automation<\/strong>. It will then immediately convert your PDF into separate JPEG files.<\/li>\n<li>If you are on an <strong>older macOS version<\/strong>, you probably won\u2019t see \u201cQuick Actions\u201d, but instead you will see the <strong>name of your quick action<\/strong> immediately as shown in the image below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/convert-pdf-images-macos\/automator-8.jpg\" width=\"1000\" height=\"805\" alt=\"How to Convert PDF to Image File on Mac\"><\/figure>\n<p>Once you click on it (in my case I named it \u201cPDFconvertertoJPG\u201d), it will immediately create the two files.
