That's why its apps are sought-after even on other...\t\t\t\t\t\t<span>Read more<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Prerequisites<\/h2>\n<p>Before we proceed, there are some things that you need to check or set up.<\/p>\n<p>Firstly, (and most obviously) you need to upgrade your operating system (OS) to Windows 11. Once you install it, you will need to check a few things to get started.<\/p>\n<h3>Update Windows and select Beta Channel<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on <strong>Start<\/strong> or press the Windows key and go to <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>On the right side, check if it says your Windows is updated. Click it to enter the next step.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/installing-android-windows-11\/windows-run-android-apps.jpg\" width=\"1270\" height=\"665\" alt=\"Install Android Apps in Windows 11 - Setup Guide\"><\/figure>\n<li>It should say that your Windows is up to date, if not, click on the button to update it<\/li>\n<li>Next, click on <strong>Windows Insider Program<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Here you will see the \u201cInstalled build\u201d serial. In order to install Android apps on Win 11, you need to have a build serial of at least 22000.282. In my case, I have 22000.376 so I qualify. If you\u2019re not on this build, just update your system.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/installing-android-windows-11\/windows-run-android-apps-2.jpg\" width=\"950\" height=\"702\" alt=\"Install Android Apps in Windows 11 - Setup Guide\"><\/figure>\n<li>Next, choose the second option <strong>Windows Insider Account<\/strong> \u2013 you will need to link your Windows account email before you can choose any other setting. <\/li>\n<li>Once that is done choose the <strong>Beta Channel<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Change Region to United States<\/h3>\n<p>If your region is already set to the United States, feel free to skip this section. If not, you\u2019ll have to change your region for it to work, because the Amazon Appstore which we will install through the Microsoft Appstore is crucial to this entire thing won\u2019t work otherwise.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press <span class=\"key\">Windows<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">I<\/span> to open <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Under <strong>Time & language<\/strong> click on <strong>Language & region<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Under <strong>Region<\/strong>, change your settings to <strong>United States<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Restart your computer (I actually skipped this part initially but I ran into some problems until I restarted my system, so do not skip!)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/installing-android-windows-11\/windows-run-android-apps-5.jpg\" width=\"960\" height=\"601\" alt=\"Install Android Apps in Windows 11 - Setup Guide\"><\/figure>\n<h3>Check if Virtualization is enabled:<\/h3>\n<p>So for the next step, we need to make sure that you have Virtualization enabled on your computer.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/installing-android-windows-11\/windows-run-android-apps-4.jpg\" width=\"666\" height=\"592\" alt=\"Install Android Apps in Windows 11 - Setup Guide\"><\/figure>\n<ol>\n<li>Press <span class=\"key\">CTRL<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">SHIFT<\/span> + <span class=\"key\">ESC<\/span> keys simultaneously. This will open <strong>Task Manager<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Under <strong>Performance<\/strong> tab, you need to see if <strong>Virtualization<\/strong> is Enabled or not.<\/li>\n<li>If enabled, feel free to proceed to the next section. I am 100% sure that this is enabled by default after you enable your Windows Insider Account because I haven\u2019t done anything and it\u2019s enabled by default (on a fresh install of Windows 11).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Check if Microsoft Store is Updated<\/h3>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/installing-android-windows-11\/windows-run-android-apps-3.jpg\" width=\"946\" height=\"773\" alt=\"Install Android Apps in Windows 11 - Setup Guide\"><\/figure>\n<p>In this case, you need Microsoft Store\u2019s version to be <strong>22110.1402.6.0<\/strong> or above. In my case, it\u2019s higher at 22112.1402.3.0, so we\u2019re clear to go.<\/p>\n<p>To check the version:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click <strong>Start<\/strong> or press the Windows key.<\/li>\n<li>Search for <strong>Microsoft Store<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the profile photo in the upper right corner which is where the account setting is located.<\/li>\n<li>Then click on <strong>App settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>At the very bottom you will be able to see Microsoft Store\u2019s version<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Now for the real deal: Install Amazon Appstore<\/h2>\n<p>Basically for Windows 11, you can run Android apps by installing them directly from the Amazon Appstore\u2026which is an application that you can download through the Microsoft Store.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/installing-android-windows-11\/windows-run-android-apps-6.jpg\" width=\"1052\" height=\"772\" alt=\"Install Android Apps in Windows 11 - Setup Guide\"><\/figure>\n<p>So, yeah:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>Microsoft Store<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Search for <strong>Amazon Appstore<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>And then just install it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><em>Important note<\/em><\/strong>: If Amazon Appstore is not showing up in the list, then it\u2019s because you missed the important steps above, so try to check which ones were skipped.<\/p>\n<p>Also, there are some comments floating on the internet that because this is still in an experimental stage, it\u2019s not yet available for everyone (obviously) so even if you change your region, some report that after opening the Amazon Appstore, it will still detect your actual region.
