Keyboard Manager<\/h3>\n<p>Keyboard Manager is one of my favorite tools because it gives you <strong>extensive control over your keyboard<\/strong>, which is not easily achievable in Windows 10 by default.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hongkiat.com\/blog\/lesser-known-operating-systems\/\">Linux operating systems like Ubuntu<\/a>, Windows lacks easy-to-use keyboard settings \u2013 especially for customizing keyboard shortcuts.<\/p>\n<p>However, with Keyboard Manager, you can easily <strong>remap keys<\/strong> (e.g., changing the <span>Home<\/span> key to act as <span>Delete<\/span>) and <strong>modify keyboard shortcuts<\/strong> (e.g., using <span>Ctrl<\/span> + <span>H<\/span> to perform the Home function). Here\u2019s how you can do it:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the <strong>Start<\/strong> menu and launch <strong>PowerToys<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Keyboard Manager<\/strong> in the left sidebar.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/windows-10-powertoys-for-powerusers\/keyboard-manager-powertoy-windows-10.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"567\" alt=\"Accessing Keyboard Manager in Windows 10 PowerToys\"><\/figure>\n<li>Click on <strong>Remap a key<\/strong> or <strong>Remap a shortcut<\/strong>, then click the + (plus) button.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Type<\/strong> and press the desired keys, or select one from the dropdown menu.
