For more infomation about that, refer to the instruction booklet that comes with the package, or <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ikea.com\/gb\/en\/assembly_instructions\/fyrtur-block-out-roller-blind__AA-2104463-3_pub.pdf\">click here for the PDF version<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Getting started: What you\u2019ll need<\/h2>\n<p>There are various ways to control the FYRTUR blind, from using just the remote contorl, to controlling via iOS or Android devices, or even via voice command. The following table gives you an idea about different ways you can control your blind and the things you\u2019ll need to do that.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, to <strong>control the blind with a remote<\/strong>, you just need the<em> IKEA remote<\/em>, and the<em> TR\u00c5DFRI Signal repeater<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, to <strong>control your blind via Siri or Google Assistant<\/strong>, you will need the<em> TR\u00c5DFRI Signal repeater<\/em>, <em>TR\u00c5DFRI Gateway<\/em>,<em> IKEA Home Smart app<\/em> and an<em> iOS<\/em> or <em>Android device<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A remote control and the TR\u00c5DFRI Signal repeater (items marked with * in the table) are shipped together with the FYRTUR blind. However, TR\u00c5DFRI Gateway is sold seperately.<\/li>\n<li>Apple Homepod and Google Home are optional devices. Here\u2019s what you need to do:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the gateway\u2019s cover by turning it counter clockwise.<\/li>\n<li>Plug in the ethernet cable and connect its other end to the router.\n  <\/li>\n<li>Plug in the power cable, connect its other end to the wall outlet and turn it on.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure all three indicator lights are turned on.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> If you\u2019re still unclear about the instructions, you can <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ikea.com\/sg\/en\/assembly_instructions\/tradfri-gateway__AA-1908212-7_pub.pdf\"> click here<\/a> for the online PDF manual.<\/p>\n<h2>Getting Started: A Final checklist<\/h2>\n<p>Before we proceed, make sure you have got the following done and ready:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>FYRTUR blind is assembled and installed.<\/li>\n<li>Battery is fully charged and inserted inside FYRTUR (refer to page 19 on the manual).<\/li>\n<li>Battery is inserted inside remote control (refer to page 21 on the manual).<\/li>\n<li>TR\u00c5DFRI Signal repeater is ready.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Every thing is set? Let\u2019s get started!<\/p>\n<h2>Step 1: Paring Home Smart app with Gateway<\/h2>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step-01.jpg\" alt=\"step 1\" width=\"1385\" height=\"751\"><\/figure>\n<p>In this section, we will be pairing IKEA Home Smart app with TR\u00c5DFRI Gateway.<\/p>\n<p>First, let\u2019s get the IKEA Home smart app connected to the gateway.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Launch the app and then tap <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step01-01-launch-app-tqp-next.jpg\" alt=\"launch app tap next\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1200\"><\/figure>\n<li>Tap <strong>Scan<\/strong><\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step01-02-tap-scan.jpg\" alt=\"tap scan\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1200\"><\/figure>\n<li>Locate the QR Code at the bottom of your gateway, and point your device\u2019s camera on it.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step01-03-locate-gateway-qr-code.jpg\" alt=\"locate qr\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1200\"><\/figure>\n<li>Tap <strong>Next<\/strong>, and then tap <strong>Get Started<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step01-04-next-get-started.jpg\" alt=\"next get started\" width=\"1300\" height=\"1300\"><\/figure>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Step 2: Pairing Home Smart app with Remote<\/h2>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step-02.jpg\" alt=\"step 2\" width=\"1385\" height=\"751\"><\/figure>\n<p>After pairing our device with the TR\u00c5DFRI Gateway, we will proceed to pair IKEA Home Smart app with the blind\u2019s remote control.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Un-screw the bottom cover of the remote, exposing the battery.<\/li>\n<li>Bring it near the gateway and hold down the pairing button for 10 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>A white light on Gateway will start blinking indicating that a pairing is initiated. On the IKEA Home smart app, \"Finding your device\" will be displayed .<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step02-03-finding-your-device.jpg\" alt=\"find device\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1200\"><\/figure>\n<li>When device is found, here\u2019s what you will see on your app.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step02-04-device-found.jpg\" alt=\"device found\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1200\"><\/figure>\n<li>When the remote will be succcesfully paired with your device, here\u2019s what you will see on your app.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step02-05-click-ok.jpg\" alt=\"click ok\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1200\"><\/figure>\n<li>Now click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Don\u2019t screw back the bottom cover just yet, we are now going to pair the remote with the Signal Repeater.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3: Pairing Remote with Repeater<\/h2>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step-03.jpg\" alt=\"step 3\" width=\"1385\" height=\"751\"><\/figure>\n<p>In this step, I will tell you how to pair the blind\u2019s remote control with the signal repeater.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Bring the remote near the Signal repeater.<\/li>\n<li>Hold down the pairing button for 5 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>A white light on the Signal Repeater will start blinking indicating that a pairing is initiated. \"Finding your device\" will also be displayed on the IKEA Home smart app.<\/li>\n<li>When the device is found, here\u2019s what you will see on your app<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step03-03-finding-your-device.jpg\" alt=\"finding device\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1200\"><\/figure>\n<li>When it\u2019s succcesfully paired, here\u2019s what you will see.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step03-04-device-found.jpg\" alt=\"found device\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1200\"><\/figure>\n<li>Now click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step03-05-click-ok.jpg\" alt=\"click ok\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1200\"><\/figure>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Let\u2019s proceed to pairing the remote with the blind.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 4: Pairing Remote with the blind<\/h2>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/set-up-ikea-fyrtur-smart-blind\/step-04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1385\" height=\"751\"><\/figure>\n<p>Once pairing with the Signal Repeater is done, our final step is to pair the blind\u2019s remote control with the blind itself.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Short press both buttons on the blind simutanously.
