You can check the camera\u2019s current firmware version by going to <strong>Menu &gt; Setup Menu &gt; Firmware version<\/strong>. <\/p><\/li>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/nikon-camera-upgrade-firmware\/03-firmware-tab-download-page.jpg\" alt=\"firmware tab\" width=\"1976\" height=\"1228\"><\/figure>\n<li>Select your operating system, select<em>Agree<\/em> to the <strong>End User License Agreement<\/strong> and click \"<strong>Download<\/strong>\".<\/li>\n<li>Double click on the downloaded installation file and look for the <strong>.bin<\/strong> inside the folder.\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> For Nikon Z users, the downloaded file is named \"F-Z6-V201M.dmg\" (macOS), or \"F-Z6-V201W.exe\" (PC), and the .bin firmware file will be located inside the folder.<\/p><\/li>\n<li>Eject the memory card from your camera and connect it to your computer through a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hongkiat.com\/blog\/nikon-z6-z7-accessories\/\" rel=\"noopener\">card reader<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Now copy the .bin file from your computer to the top or root folder in the memory card.
