With a name like Evil Icons<\/strong>, you might not be sure what to expect. But, the project is harmless and surprisingly useful!<\/p>\n

The Evil Icons pack<\/a><\/strong> offers an assortment of a few dozen icons in the line icon style<\/strong>. These use thin shapes with transparent centers<\/strong>, creating icons tailor-made for interface UIs and clean minimalist websites<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Everything you need to know can be found on the main site or the official GitHub repo<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You can download these icons as simple SVG files<\/strong> and export into PNGs<\/strong> as needed. Or, you can pull them directly through a Ruby gem, a Node package<\/strong>, or through task runners<\/a><\/strong> such as Gulp or Grunt.<\/p>\n

While the icon pack presents itself as SVG-only, it does support the original source files<\/strong>, too. The homepage actually lets you download the icons in three different file types<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    With the original source files, you can easily edit the icons<\/strong> or even add your own into the mix<\/strong>. Creators Alexander Madyankin & Roman Shamin are still maintaining the project, so you could even suggest new additional icons into the pack.<\/p>\n

    But, the beautiful part about Evil Icons is that you don\u2019t need to do anything to them if you don\u2019t want to. With CDN files for the stylesheet<\/a> and the JS script<\/a>, you can embed these icons right into your page<\/strong> and start using them right away.<\/p>\n

    Each icon has a CSS class<\/strong> which you\u2019ll find on the main demo page by hovering each one. You can add this class via HTML<\/strong> or target elements dynamically with JavaScript<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
