It\u2019s not hard to find free iconsets<\/a> on the web. However, it is tough to find iconsets that are consistently updated<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Standart icons<\/a><\/strong> are a totally new line-style iconset<\/strong>, created by designer Yaroslav Samoilov<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The website curates all the icons in one place and helps build a brand around this set. But, the best part? It\u2019s frequently updated with new icons<\/strong> and you can even see the \u201cnewest change\u201d date in the top-right corner of the page.<\/p>\n

Yaroslav is the primary designer on this project and he\u2019s released the work for free to the design community<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This could be for recognition of his skillset, or to just add value to the Internet, or maybe a mix of both. Either way, I\u2019d say he\u2019s succeeded because this icon pack is one of the sleekest new kids on the block<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Right now, it\u2019s downloadable in three formats<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Web fonts (TTF, EOT, WOFF, and SVG)<\/li>\n
  2. SVG<\/li>\n
  3. Sketch<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The icon fonts themselves can even be added to your site with a CDN stylesheet<\/a><\/strong> that you just add to your header. Note this is hosted through the Standart.io domain, so I don\u2019t know how well it can hold up against heavy load.<\/p>\n

    But, just the fact that this iconset is so open and freely available makes it one of the best line icon packs you can get.<\/p>\n

    Not to mention it\u2019s frequently being updated with new icons<\/strong>. Given enough time, this pack could reach a level similar to Font Awesome or any other major icon font.<\/p>\n

    You\u2019ll notice whenever you click a download link, it directs you over to Gumroad<\/strong>. Most people know this as a pay-to-download marketplace but you can grab certain items for free<\/strong> if they\u2019re set to $0 downloads.<\/p>\n

    All of Standart\u2019s Gumroad files are totally free<\/strong>, so you\u2019re not paying anything to download. However, you are allowed to give some money if you want to tip Yaroslav for all his hard work.<\/p>\n

    Either way, the Standart iconset is worth saving and revisiting as the months go on. I have a feeling this could become a staple iconset for hundreds of future websites!<\/p>\n
