Recently, the company has implemented a series of <strong>improvements to Gmail<\/strong> that would assist users in <strong>steering clear of any suspected phishing attempt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>first of the new improvements<\/strong> is the implementation of a new machine learning model that brings with it <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/gsuiteupdates.googleblog.com\/2017\/05\/early-detection-of-phishing-via-delayed-delivery.html\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>early phishing detection<\/strong><\/a>. The combination of a variety of distinct technologies means that Google can now <strong>generate new URL click-time warnings for phishing and malware links<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/google-additional-measures-combat-phishing\/01-unintended-external-reply-warning.jpg\" width=\"1000\" height=\"523\" alt=\"unintended external reply warning\"><\/figure>\n<p>Where the <strong>machine learning model operates silently in the background<\/strong>, the next improvement that was made to Gmail is far more visible.
