For those of you who <strong>frequently post embarrassing photos on their Instagram accounts<\/strong>, an upcoming update to the Instagram app will soon <strong>let you hide them instead of deleting them outright<\/strong> by way of a built-in archive feature.<\/p>\n<p>Now <strong>available to a selected group of people<\/strong>, Instagram users will soon be able to archive any of their posts. Posts that have been archived can only be viewed by the user themselves, essentially <strong>making that particular post private<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/archive-older-posts-instagram\/02-archive-post.jpg\" width=\"1489\" height=\"846\" alt=\"archive post\"><\/figure>\n<p>If the user decides that <strong>they would like to make the post public again<\/strong>, all he needs to do is to select the post from the archive folder, tap on the \"<strong>\u2026<\/strong>\" button, and choose the <strong>Show on Profile<\/strong> option.
