Anyone who has tried to capture a video using their smartphone has experienced the \"shaky camera\"<\/strong> effect. However, for Android smartphone users, there is now an opportunity to eliminate the \u201cshaky cam\u201d effect<\/strong> through Google Photos\u2019<\/a> new Video Sabilization feature.<\/p>\n

Currently being rolled out to Google Play Store around the world<\/strong> in the version 2.13 of Google Photos, the Video Stabilization feature will go through your videos in Google Photos to remove any shaky effects<\/strong> that they have.<\/p>\n

The end result would be a video that is considerably more stable than the original<\/strong>, which directly leads to a better viewing experience.<\/p>\n

Once the update is installed on your Google Photos, you can access Video Stabilization by accessing the \u201cVideos\u201d <\/strong>tab through the \u201cAlbums\u201d<\/strong> page. Upon selecting a video and tapping the \u201cEdit\u201d<\/strong> button, you\u2019ll be able to find the \u201cStabilize\u201d<\/strong> option right next to the \u201cRotate\u201d<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n

All that\u2019s left to do after that is to tap the \u201cStabilize\u201d<\/strong> option, wait for Google Photos to process the video, and when it\u2019s all done, you\u2019ll have a video that is mostly shake free.<\/p>\n

While the tech that powers the video stabilization feature is pretty impressive<\/strong>, and without any flaws, those with keen eyes will notice some weird warping effects on the stabilized videos themselves<\/strong>, as well as some stuttering from time to time.<\/p>\n
