The hub connects to the MacBook Pro via twin Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, giving it <strong>maximum bandwidth as well as a transfer speed<\/strong> of 50Gb\/s that allows you to utilise all of the ports on the hub simultaneously.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/hyperdrive-hub-macbook-pro-2016\/01-hyperdrive-mackbook-pro-2016.gif\" width=\"680\" height=\"382\" alt=\"hyperdrive for macbook pro 2016\"><\/figure>\n<p>As for port availability, the <strong>HyperDrive sports a HDMI video output<\/strong>, a Thunderbolt 3 port, <strong>a standard USB-C port, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports<\/strong>, a SD card slot and a <strong>MicroSD card slot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For those who are wondering about charging their MacBook Pros through the HyperDrive, its <strong>Thunderbolt 3 port supports up to 100W of power delivery<\/strong>. This allows you to charge your MacBook Pro at full speed through the hub.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/hyperdrive-hub-macbook-pro-2016\/02-hyperdrive-specs.jpg\" width=\"680\" height=\"489\" alt=\"hyperdrive specs\"><\/figure>\n<p>Sanho Corporation\u2019s HyperDrive is currently being <strong>crowdfunded on Kickstarter<\/strong>. At the time of writing, the project has managed to raise USD710,928 out of its USD100,000 target with 21 days left to go.
