This technique is a <strong>panning and zooming effect<\/strong> that is used to create something like a video from still images. The zooming and panning across photographs gives the feeling of motion, which keeps the viewer visually engaged.<\/p>\n<p>Here is an example of the parallax effect in action to illustrate what I\u2019m trying to describe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"video-19by6\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/50Cq7zltLis?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>And here is another good example:<\/p>\n<p class=\"video-19by6\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/I3IXnZrV1-k?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The effect can also be called the 2.5D parallax effect. 2.5D refers to the visual depth perception in an otherwise 2-dimensional image or view.
