With all the options available, it\u2019s easy to get a bit confused and not know where to start with the LittleBits.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, the official LittleBits website has <strong>a large repository of projects you can make<\/strong>, complete with instructions, that should help you get to grips with what you can and can\u2019t do with the LittleBits kit.<\/p>\n<h2><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/mearm.com\/\">MeArm<\/a><\/h2>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/electronic-circuits-modules\/mirobot.jpg?newedit\" alt=\"Mirobot\" height=\"750\" width=\"1000\"><\/figure>\n<p>The MeArm is an <strong>open-source robot arm design<\/strong> that\u2019s designed to help children and adults learn about and develop an interest for technology and programming.<\/p>\n<p>MeArm is <strong>a low-cost but high-quality robotics kit<\/strong> that allows you to start into the world of robotics through an easy yet fun way. You can use a number of platforms with it including Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Espruino, Beaglebone Black, and many more.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to being an open source hardware platform, the fact that MeArm has Arduino at its core means that it\u2019s going to be incredibly <strong>easy to reprogram<\/strong> it to do other things.<\/p>\n<h2><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.birdbraintechnologies.com\/hummingbirdbit\/\">Hummingbird Duo<\/a><\/h2>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/electronic-circuits-modules\/hummingbird-duo.jpg?newedit\" alt=\"Hummingbird Duo\" height=\"546\" width=\"1000\"><\/figure>\n<p>The Hummingbird Duo is <strong>two boards in one<\/strong>: the original Hummingbird controller, as seen in the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.birdbraintechnologies.com\/hummingbirdbit\/\">Hummingbird Robotics<\/a> kit, on one side, and an Arduino Leonardo on the other side.<\/p>\n<p>The new dual design means that you can either use the Duo exactly like the original Hummingbird controller, or as an Arduino board with additional motor and servo shield as well as improved connectors, all of which are provided by the Hummingbird controller.<\/p>\n<p>Like the previous Hummingbird, the Hummingbird Duo has been designed so that it\u2019s <strong>easy and fun for all age groups<\/strong>. Hummingbird\u2019s CREATE Lab visual programmer makes it incredibly easy to get started programming.<\/p>\n<p>There are <strong>2 kits available<\/strong>, the Base and Premium kits, and components in these kits include a HS-311 Servo, Pololu Gearmotor and other useful components.<\/p>\n<h2><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/digistump.com\/getpro\"> Digispark Pro<\/a><\/h2>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/electronic-circuits-modules\/digispark-pro.jpg?newedit\" alt=\"Digispark Pro\" height=\"642\" width=\"1000\"><\/figure>\n<p>The Digispark Pro is a <strong>compact and cheap<\/strong> USB-ready Arduino dev board. Firstly, it uses the new Micronucleus USB bootloader for <strong>easy programming over USB<\/strong>, direct from the Arduino IDE or command line.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the Digispark Pro can also <strong>emulate a USB Serial Port<\/strong> as well as<strong> various USB devices<\/strong> such as USB keyboards, mice and joysticks, and a Generic HID Device.<\/p>\n<h2><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dexterindustries.com\/gopigo3\/\">GoPiGo<\/a><\/h2>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/electronic-circuits-modules\/gopigo.jpg?newedit\" alt=\"GoPiGo\" height=\"678\" width=\"1000\"><\/figure>\n<p>The GoPiGo is a <strong>complete robotics kit for the Raspberry Pi<\/strong>, letting you turn your Pi into a mobile robot, complete with wheels, motors, controls and its own robust, reliable power supply. It also <strong>comes with an acrylic body<\/strong> so you won\u2019t have to worry about sourcing or building your own.<\/p>\n<p>However, do bear in mind that the GoPiGo itself doesn\u2019t do much beyond turning your Pi into a mobile robot; it\u2019s up to you to take advantage of the power of the Raspberry Pi to actually make the robot functional and useful.<\/p>\n<p>The GoPiGo also comes with its own <strong>modified Raspbian OS<\/strong>, included in the kit. The acrylic body was also designed with the Raspberry Pi camera in mind, and offers <strong>two camera mounting options<\/strong>, either on the body or on a servo camera mount that will also turn 180 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>The GoPiGo was designed with easy assembly in mind, and can be put together with only a screwdriver and about 10 minutes of your time.<\/p>\n<p>The Spark Core\u2019s WiFi controller uses Texas Instruments\u2019 new CC3000, with a unique <strong>Smart Config<\/strong> technology that makes it very easy to get projects connected to the Internet.<\/p>\n<p>As with most devices of this type, the Spark Core is <strong>completely open source<\/strong>, with all the hardware design files freely available, plus it\u2019s also built on <strong>open source standards and protocols<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bareconductive.com\/collections\/all\/products\/touch-board\">Touch Board<\/a><\/h2>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/electronic-circuits-modules\/touch-board.jpg?newedit\" alt=\"Touch Board\" height=\"576\" width=\"1000\"><\/figure>\n<p>The Touch Board is an Arduino-compatible device that lets you <strong>translate touch into sound<\/strong> and a whole lot of other things. Basically, it\u2019s a circuit that you can use to <strong>integrate interactivity and tactile response<\/strong> into a project, with the help of electric paint or any other sort of conductive material.<\/p>\n<p>Just connect this conductive material to any one of the Touch Board\u2019s 12 electrodes, and the Touch Board will then trigger an action \u2013 basically, anything you\u2019d be able to program with an Arduino \u2013 when this conductive material is touched.<\/p>\n<p>The Touch Board has both <strong>touch and distance sensing<\/strong> functionality, and it also works as an <strong>MP3 player or MIDI device<\/strong>, translating touch into sound.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s even a <strong>Micro SD slot<\/strong> so that you can completely change the sounds that the Touch Board will make just by changing the SD card. It has a 3.5mm audio output jack and is also <strong>HID capable<\/strong>, so you can use it as a keyboard or mouse.<\/p>\n<h2><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tinycircuits.com\/pages\/tinyduino-overview\">TinyDuino<\/a><\/h2>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/electronic-circuits-modules\/tinyduino.jpg?newedit\" alt=\"TinyDuino\" height=\"632\" width=\"1000\"><\/figure>\n<p>TinyDuino is a complete series of Arduino-compatible boards, the biggest appeal being their <strong>incredibly small size<\/strong>. TinyDuino boards pack the same amount of processing power as an Arduino Uno but are <strong>smaller than a United States quarter<\/strong>, making them incredibly suitable for projects where space is at a premium.<\/p>\n<p>This small size is achieved by <strong>paring each module down to the basics<\/strong> and making them incredibly modular. The TinyDuino modules come as 20 x 20mm squares, but most of the modules can be cut into circular shapes.<\/p>\n<p>There are a <strong>respectable number of modules available<\/strong> in the TinyDuino range, from the basic core Processor Board to various shields such as a MicroSD shield, a WiFi shield, a GPS shield and a USB and ICP shield.<\/p>\n<p>The TinyDuino modules use small, low-cost connectors that still supports all the signals that a standard Arduino shield requires.<\/p>\n<h2>Spark Core<\/h2>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/electronic-circuits-modules\/spark-core.jpg?newedit\" alt=\"Spark Core\" height=\"560\" width=\"1000\"><\/figure>\n<p>(Spark Core has been discontinued.)<\/p>\n<p>The Spark Core is an Arduino-compatible development platform powered by a powerful <strong>ARM Cortex M3<\/strong> running at 72MHz.
