That is, they\u2019ll begin working on one thing until that thing is done. Thinking and planning our work, believe it or not, <strong>can drain us and make us less likely to actually finish<\/strong> it.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why it\u2019s important to <strong>plan <em>before<\/em> you actually have to work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth setting aside <strong>an entire day just to plan<\/strong> what you\u2019re going to do over the coming days, weeks, or months, to avoid having it trip you up later. Just think: once you learn or implement something new, you\u2019ll be able to do it forever. How would you go about doing it? You might think that if you were totally competent and efficient, your problems would solve themselves, but humor me for a minute anyway.<\/p>\n<p>It may sound silly, but <strong>role-playing<\/strong> a really motivated, knowledgable person <strong>allows you to think about how he or she might handle the schedule<\/strong> you\u2019re struggling with.
