If you have friends who like to report every little thing they do e.g. \u201cI\u2019ve cleaned my room (finally), phew\u201d, with Bitstrips, they can now deliver this \u201cmessage\u201d via a comic strip.<\/p>\n<p>Using caricatures of themselves, a Bitstrips user will pull together a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hongkiat.com\/blog\/comic-strips-designers\/\">comic strip<\/a> panel \u2013 usually a single \u2013 <strong>depicting them in wacky and funny moments<\/strong> (see \u201cnot human until I\u2019ve had my coffee example\u201d above) or just doing everyday stuff. It is a simple idea but one that is going viral. Yet if you\u2019re not amused by Bitstrips, skip ahead to be rid of this.<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s Bitstrips?<\/h2>\n<p>If you are curious about what Bitstrips is or how it works, we\u2019re saving you the trouble.<\/p>\n<p>At the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Bitstrips\">app page<\/a> you allow permission for it to use your Facebook profile data (all apps do this, don\u2019t be surprised). Once inside, it\u2019s time to <strong>start buiding your avatar<\/strong>. The builder is pretty precise, allowing you to mold the way you look, from what your hairstyle is like, down to the size of your pupils and eye shape.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/remove-facebook-bitstrip\/avatar.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"330\"><\/figure>\n<p>Then, it is off to create a comic. While you may have little control of the \u201cscene\u201d, \u201csituation\u201d or background, you can change parts of your avatar (as in rotating body parts, the facial expression, add dialogue etc), pair up with a friend, and create greeting cards to celebrate the holidays.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/remove-facebook-bitstrip\/status-comic-2.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"400\"><\/figure>\n<p>Bitstrips will then share your adventures on your behalf to your Facebook profile. And that\u2019s it.<\/p>\n<p>So far, the app that is available on <strong>Facebook, iPad, iPhone and Android<\/strong> has at least <strong>10 million monthly users<\/strong>. The Android app has already been downloaded 5 million times and at the time of this writing, Bitstrips is the top free downloaded app on the App Store.<\/p>\n<p>However, not everyone is a fan, so if you are in this group, <strong>here\u2019s how you can remove Bitstrips from your feed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Removing Bitstrips<\/h2>\n<p>You can choose to hide it from your feed by clicking on the arrow down button to the right of the image. Choose \u201cHide all from Bitstrips\u201d to ensure that no other Bitstrips comic will ever grace your feed again.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/remove-facebook-bitstrip\/bitstrip-hide.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"401\"><\/figure>\n<p>Alternatively you can block the app right from the page. Go to the app page. If you see this chaotic view, you\u2019re at the right place.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/remove-facebook-bitstrip\/bitstrip-app.jpg\" alt=\"BitStrip App\" width=\"500\" height=\"450\"><\/figure>\n<p>Now look for the word <strong>Block<\/strong> at the lower right corner of the page and click it. A prompt will appear asking if you want to block the app, click on <strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/remove-facebook-bitstrip\/bitstrip-block.jpg\" alt=\"BitStrip Block\" width=\"500\" height=\"519\"><\/figure>\n<p>Congratulations, you have entirely removed Bitstrips from all of your Facebook. Now you won\u2019t see anything posted with Bitstrips.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t worry, this is not permanent. To unblock Bitstrips, click on the <strong>Gear Icon<\/strong> (Settings Icon) at the end of the Facebook search bar and click on <strong>Account Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/remove-facebook-bitstrip\/account-settings.jpg\" alt=\"Account Settings\" width=\"500\" height=\"320\"><\/figure>\n<p>Then click on <strong>Blocking<\/strong> on the left navigation panel and scroll down to find <strong>Block Apps<\/strong>.
