Ths will be required for use with iEmpty in the later part of the guide.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have Picup, it\u2019s time to prepare a screenshot of your black homescreen (one with no icons on it).<\/p>\n<h3>Capturing Blank Homescreen<\/h3>\n<p>To capture a blank page hold down on one of the icons for a few seconds. Drag and move the icon to an empty homescreen.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/ios-homescreen-icon-iempty\/drag-icon-create-new-page.jpg\" alt=\"move one icon to create new page\" height=\"359\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<p>Press on your \u2018Power\u2019 button and \u2018Home\u2019 button to capture a screenshot of it. An empty homescreen screenshot will be captured.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/ios-homescreen-icon-iempty\/screenshot-blank-page.jpg\" alt=\"new blank page and take a screenshot\" height=\"359\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<h3>Using iEmpty<\/h3>\n<p>Next we need to upload the blank homescreen to iEmpty.<\/p>\n<p>Press the \u201cHome\u201d button on your iOS device, open up \u2018Safari\u2019 and browse to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/iempty.tooliphone.net\/\">iEmpty<\/a> (iempty.tooliphone.net). On that page, tap on <strong>CUSTOMIZE!<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/ios-homescreen-icon-iempty\/iempty-customize.jpg\" alt=\"browse to iempty and tap on customize\" height=\"359\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<p>It will ask you to choose a mode. Tap on <strong>CUSTOM Mode<\/strong> and you will be at the upload page. Under \u2018Upload\u2019, tap on <strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/ios-homescreen-icon-iempty\/custom-mode-add.jpg\" alt=\"choose custom mode and tap on add\" height=\"359\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<p>Tap on <strong>Upload Photo.<\/strong> A pop-up will ask if you want to open the page in Picup, tap on <strong>Open<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/ios-homescreen-icon-iempty\/upload-photo-open-picup.jpg\" alt=\"tap on upload photo and open in picup\" height=\"359\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<p>In Picup, tap on \u2018Photo Library\u2019 and grant access for Picup to enter your photo library. Choose the image of the blank homescreen. Tap on <strong>Upload Files<\/strong> to upload.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/ios-homescreen-icon-iempty\/photo-library-allow-access.jpg\" alt=\"tap photo library and allow access\" height=\"359\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<h3>Selecting And Inserting Transparent Icons<\/h3>\n<p>Back on iEmpty in your Safari page, scroll down until you see the word <strong>Let\u2019s GO!<\/strong> Tap on it.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/ios-homescreen-icon-iempty\/lets-go.jpg\" alt=\"tap on let's go\" height=\"359\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<p>You will be directed to a page where you see a mock version of your homescreen. Each square represents a position of the icon. iEmpty produces a crop out of that section which you can place on your homescreen.<\/p>\n<p>To illustrate this, tap \u20181 x 1\u2019.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/ios-homescreen-icon-iempty\/choose-1-x-1.jpg\" alt=\"choose which icon\" height=\"359\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<p>Tap on the \u2018More Options\u2019 button on Safari and choose \u2018Add to homescreen\u2019.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/ios-homescreen-icon-iempty\/add-to-home-screen.jpg\" alt=\"add to home screen\" height=\"359\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<p>Leave the icon name blank. You will see the icon where the most recently added icons usually go. Note that in our shot below, the icon we picked doesn\u2019t fit into the background.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/ios-homescreen-icon-iempty\/add-now-at-home-screen.jpg\" alt=\"don't name the new icon\" height=\"359\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<p>By moving the icon to it\u2019s 1 x 1 spot, you can see that it has been blended to the background.
