Many users use colors to blot out the details, sometimes making a mess out of the image. Wouldn\u2019t it be great if you could make this treatment as fast and as painless as possible?<\/p>\n<p>We have found a handy Chrome extension called <strong>Status Snapper<\/strong> which not only helps you <strong>automatically blur out the profile picture and name<\/strong>, but also lets you<strong> capture and upload images up to Imgur<\/strong> without having to open up any other side applications.<\/p>\n<p class=\"note\"><strong>Read Also:<\/strong> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hongkiat.com\/blog\/customize-facebook-status\/\">How To Customize The \u2018Via\u2019 Status On Your Facebook Posts<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Getting Started<\/h2>\n<p>To start, add <strong>Status Snapper<\/strong> as your Chrome extension.<\/p>\n<p>Now, go to your Facebook. You\u2019ll notice that on the right side of the URL bar there\u2019s a Status Snapper icon. Whenever you find a nice saying you want to take a shot of, activate Status Snapper by clicking on the icon.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/facebook-status-snapper\/snapper-icon.jpg\" alt=\"status snapper icon on right hand side url box\" height=\"314\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<p>You\u2019ll notice on the news feed page that there are icons with the word <strong>SNAP<\/strong>. To capture the status you want, click on <strong>SNAP<\/strong>, and Status Snapper will automatically blur out the name and display picture of the nearest status.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/facebook-status-snapper\/click-snap.jpg\" alt=\"click on snap to capture\" height=\"339\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<p>After clicking <strong>SNAP<\/strong>, the <strong>FINISH<\/strong> and <strong>CANCEL<\/strong> buttons will pop up. Click <strong>FINISH<\/strong> to upload the shot to Imgur. Although Status Snapper makes it easier to blur out your personal details, there is no way of indicating who is saying what in longer Facebook conversation threads.
