Don\u2019t worry, the Facebook \u2018application\u2019 here doesn\u2019t mean anything difficult, rather they are steps to creating your own application ID that will reflect in your \u2018posted via..\u2019 status.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Go to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/\">Facebook Developer<\/a> page and click on the <strong>Apps<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/quicktips\/via-apps.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"110\" alt=\"Apps\"><\/figure>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click <strong>Create New App<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/quicktips\/via-new-app.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"252\" alt=\"Create New App\"><\/figure>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Insert <strong>App Name<\/strong> and click <strong>Continue<\/strong>. You can leave the \u2018App Namespace\u2019 and \u2018Web Hosting\u2019 as we don\u2019t need them here. Since we are going to do something simple, you don\u2019t have to customize much, just the <strong>edit icon<\/strong> and the image to have a more personalized custom status. Add your <strong>App Domain<\/strong> and enter your <strong>Site URL<\/strong>. In this tutorial, my App ID is <strong>432823820080744<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/quicktips\/via-app-id.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"171\" alt=\"App ID\"><\/figure>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Posting a custom status to facebook<\/h2>\n<p>You have now created your own Facebook App! Now let\u2019s move on to posting with your new via status.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To share the post to your own Facebook Wall, you can simply copy the URM below, replace the \u2018&lt;APP_ID&gt;\u2019 with your own App ID that you have just created and open it in a new browser\/tab.<code>https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dialog\/feed?app_id=&lt;APP_ID&gt;&redirect_uri=https:\/\/www.hongkiat.com\/blog<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Be sure to change the domain included in the last part of the URL to your own domain as stated in the Facebook Application form. In this case, I am using <strong>https:\/\/www.hongkiat.com\/<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>When you open it in a new tab\/browser, you will see a custom dialog box with your custom \u2018posted via\u2019 stated. Enter your message and click <strong>Share<\/strong>. Now you can place the URL link provided above in your Facebook or even on your website or blog so your friends or fans can use it too.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Conclusion<\/h2>\n<p>Creating a custom status is not difficult, and you can even share the URL with your friends and fans on Facebook, your website, or even on your own blog. The more people using and liking it, the better, as you will be getting free directed traffic from your \u2018via\u2019 status.
