With hundreds of files and photos already uploaded, downloading them one by one is hardly an idea worth considering.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of scrolling and surfing page after page of your Google accounts and downloading each file, one after the other, be it the data and files from <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Docs<\/a>, Buzz, contacts or even your photo album on <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/picasa.google.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Picasa<\/a>, consider the alternative: <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/accounts.google.com\/signin\/v2\/identifier?passive=1209600&osid=1&continue=https%3A%2F%2Ftakeout.google.com%2Fsettings%2Ftakeout&followup=https%3A%2F%2Ftakeout.google.com%2Fsettings%2Ftakeout&flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=ServiceLogin\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Takeout<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Takeout is a web application provided by Google, specifically to let you access all of your data stored within Google products, and to download all of it at once. This tutorial will guide you on how to access your stored data and download it to your computer.<\/p>\n<h2>Access Takeout<\/h2>\n<p>To start downloading your data, go to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/accounts.google.com\/signin\/v2\/identifier?passive=1209600&osid=1&continue=https%3A%2F%2Ftakeout.google.com%2Fsettings%2Ftakeout&followup=https%3A%2F%2Ftakeout.google.com%2Fsettings%2Ftakeout&flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=ServiceLogin\" rel=\"noopener\">Takeout<\/a> and log in with your Google account\u2019s username and password. You will need to log in again although you have already logged in to your account from a different Google product, as this is extra protection for your data.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/quicktips\/login.jpg\" alt=\"Chrome Web Store\" height=\"150\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Download your data with Takeout<\/h2>\n<p>After you have logged in to Takeout, you will see a list of Google products you probably have used before. Now in this page, you will have two options to download your data:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To download data from specific Google product, click \"Choose Services\", or<\/li>\n<li>To download all data from all Google products, click \"Create Archive\";<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/quicktips\/Takeout.jpg\" alt=\"Add to Chrome\" height=\"474\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<h3>I \u2013 Download data of specific Google product<\/h3>\n<p>To download data from a specific Google product, simply click on the link \"Choose Services\" and you will be given another list of product. Now click on any one or more product to download the data.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/quicktips\/selectproduct.jpg\" alt=\"Select Google Product\" height=\"274\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<p>When you click on any one product, Takeout will present something like a \u2018digital card\u2019 with insight to files you\u2019re about to download. You will be shown a number of files and the estimated total size.<\/p>\n<p>Now click on the \"Configure\u2026\" bar to check or change the file format before you proceed to download.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.hongkiat.com\/uploads\/quicktips\/configure.jpg\" alt=\"Configure file format\" height=\"337\" width=\"500\"><\/figure>\n<p>You will be given an option to change your file format. How long this step takes depends on the size of the files within.
