Ahah, it might be a mistake by the organizer, but I just don’t understand the mentality of this blogger participating in so called Dotcom Youth search who should behave like ethical blogger, but instead of that, they’re like spammer, taking every single opportunity to promote their blog and service

IMHO, I don’t think they even qualify to be accepted into the competition

Hongkiat: I do apologize for the earlier harsh remark. After all, a person picking up a can from an overturn cola-cola lorry might have the best intentions of not letting anything go to waste.

Nonetheless, I’ve always felt that there was a better alternative then repeating what Youth08 just to prove a point. Through this blog entry for example is a great way to start.

Emails are probably the least of our worries I reckon. What if IC numbers are exposed next due to another over-excitement?

Your single-quoted brilliant sounds like you are pointing finger at the first person who took a can of coke from overturn coca-cola lorry. The fact is this, the bigger the impact is, the better Youth08 will remember it. Can you be certainly sure that if I don’t initiate this, you will not start wondering one day after Youth08 why you’re getting all sorts of unnecessary emails?

No problem if the pixelate is still readable, as long as it’s not in text. Facebooks friends e-mail are not pixelated, but in image format. A lot of bloggers still leave their e-mail on their blog. So that means your e-mails are still exposed but un-scrapable, and collecting them will be tedious. If you want to start making out the emails from the pixalated list or anyone wanna grab emails by blog-hoping ; by all means.

Hongkiat: It was ‘brilliant’ of you to jumpstart the ‘mini social network’. I noticed that you have attempted to pixelate/blur the emails in your screenshot above. It has failed terribly as I can still make out the emails of some participants. Kindly either remove the whole screenshot or do a better of job of protecting people’s emails.
