I'm facing the same problem. I think it started when my VPN connection was closed improperly once. That's the only thing I can recollect.

Since then, I can access www.google.co.uk, and other country specific google sites. But I can't access anything where access will be verified via google accounts page (gmail, orkut, yourube, blogger etc.).

When I connect to my office VPN, and try to access google via my office proxy, it again starts working. But not from my home network anymore.

My other laptop & my p990i can access google fine from the same wireless modem and home network.

Haven't found any solution yet, but still looking. This is really really strange, and it definitely sucks. I think this might be a bug at google's end, as it seems to be having trouble dealing with IP address of my laptop properly.

Regards,

Me too.. the exact same thing: Gmail, Google.com and other Google services won't work. Even youtube.com is sketchy (doesn't show everything). In neither Safari, Firefox or Camino... and other webpages work fine (like this one)... I had to use yahoo search to get to this point - it is scary to think how dependent I have become on Google's services.

Anyways - for me the only solution seems to be to do a full reinstall (F***).

I tried the following:
1) Resetting network settings
2) Disabling firewall
3) Disabling OpenDNS and reverting to my ISP's DNS.
4) Different browsers (see above)
5) Pinging google.com : It cannot connect
6) Restarting the OS (I'm desperate)... did not work!

My iPod touch can access Google just fine... this sucks!

If someone finds a solution to this problem please let us know!

Kind regards

Been a couple days I can't check google, gmail, anything. Not with any browser. I even saw once in FireFox in the status bar, the url that flashed wasn't a google or google-analytics address. looked totally sketch. but i didn't catch what it was.

Many other things have been going down hill on my computer as well, so it really does make me think its my computer. Other computers on the network work fine(both mac), although sometimes have trouble maintaining connection to the router, especially when the problem PC is on.

Yeah, I got that too. At first I freaked out that my Adsense a/c was banned. Hehehe. I tried on three PCs at home. I forgot how I eventually got it back though. Must have got it through neighbour's line.
