SponsoredReviews.com - Bid And Get Paid Writing Reviews

Following the path of ReviewMe (aff), Blogvertise, Blogitive, Payperpost (aff), etc. Here comes another pay post program - SponsoredReviews.com. SponsoredReview had send invitation e-mail to few to bloggers to participate in their pay program last Friday (9th March 2007) and I’m lucky to be included.

Note: Free sign-up is now opened. Thanks Cely.

How SponsoredReviews works?

From what I see, SponsoredReviews is ReviewMe + Payperpost with a bidding mechanism. There’s 2 ways you can make money from writing reviews and either way, profit is shared between you (65%) and SponsoredReview (35%).

Method #1
Payperpost alike, with a bidding touch ups. Advertisers opportunities will be listed together with a Pay Range; say $10-100. Bloggers will then bid on these opportunities and successfully bidders will be notified via e-mail together with the due date to submit the reviews. Say you successfully bid a opportunity worth $80; you will get $52 and the remaining $28 goes to SponsoredReview once the job is done.

Method #2
ReviewMe alike. Every blog is worth a price and this is determined by its popularity based on Yahoo backlinks, Alexa and Technorati. Advertisers that find you suitable will pay you for a review and the money is too splited between you and SponsoredReview.

How SponsoredReviews pays?

SponsoredReviews pays via Paypal and its done every 2 week. This is probably the fastest payout I’ve seen so far.

Requirements to sign-up

According to SponsoredReviews, here are few requirements you must meet:

  • Your blog must contain at least 10 posts with 200 words of unique content each.
  • Your blog must not be completely automated or appear to be created solely for search engine traffic.
  • Your blog must have at least a 3:1 ratio of non-paid to paid content.
  • You must complete all accepted reviews within 7 days, or your account will be suspended.
  • Foreign Language blogs (non-english) must clearly state in the title which language the blog is written in. i.e. “Jose’s Blog - Spanish”. You must also state (in the description) whether you will write the review in English or another language.
  • Blogs with very little traffic and/or links, may be rejected.

Why it’s hot

Good profit ratio - You get 65% profit out of any successful bit you made. This is much higher than most pay post system out there.

Earn more money - Advertisers budget are usually high. Bloggers with good bidding skills can benefit more from the system. According to SponsoredReview, ooprtunities can range anywhere between $10 - $1000 and if you site is major, you could probably earn more!
Fast payout - SponsoredReview pays every 2 week.
The concept of bidding - Advertiser’s budget are liquid in this sense. If most of the bids are low, this means more bloggers get to write an opportunity before advertiser’s budget run dry.
More days to review - Bloggers are given more days ( 6-7 days) to write their review after a successful bid.

Why it’s not

Based on Yahoo! ranking - Your blog must first be approved before you can start writing. And approval is based on blog popularity. SponsoredReview uses Yahoo Backlink, Alexa and Technorati as reference to determine how much your blog will worth. I’m nothing against Yahoo! but it should at least consider Google too.
Lack of opportunities - Perhaps it’s still new, opportunities are quite little for the current time being.

I’d say, Worth a try :) And yes, I do get paid for reviewing Sponsored Review.

I’m not sure about writing reviews and getting paid. I mean, it does exist but can I excel in this kind of thing? I’m open to a lot of opportunities and so far, becoming a home stager sounds interesting. I’m learning how to become one right now and maybe I can “kill 2 birds with one stone” if I can write reviews about home staging”, right? I can write a review about a home staging business plan and become a home stager at the same time. Sounds a good idea, don’t you think? Anyway, I could be interested in learning how to write reviews and get paid.
