At most occasion, I will not want to terminate all opened application, shut down and reopen one by one each time I want to resume my work. Putting the machine on sleeping mode is perhaps the most energy saving way, also the fastest way you can retrieve your work on the next start-up. Here’s a trick, a fast way to switch your macbook to sleeping mode.
Fast way to put macbook to sleep mode
Hold Alt + Command + Eject (2 second)

Welcome to the club Hong Kiat!
Once you get Mac, you won’t go back!
So is this mean, from now on, the screenshots on your blog won’t be Safari on Windows? :p

Felix: Hahaha, I might still be using Safari on Windows you know :-), until i get Parallels.
I realized this the first day i touch a mac -> “once you go mac, you never go back”

acorscadden: you can be right though, but sometimes, i just want to be away for a while. I only move the lids when I really wanna turn it off and bring it somewhere else :-)

By the way, Leopard is just around the corner, why you bought the Mac now?
ReplyPreinstalled Leopard & iLife’08 will surely rock…
But that’s OK, who can not be attempted on Mac’s beauty? Should buy it ASAP :p

Felix: I’m longing for both Leopard and iPhone to arrive :-)

What’s the hurry? My Mac likes to just lie there and reflect on the day before dozing off to sleep.
Forcing it to go to sleep so abruptly reminds me of taking a sick pet to the vet. Too brutal for me….
Besides like Acorscadden said (above) “what’s wrong with closing the lid?” (don’t slam it shut) —- RELAX •••••••••••••
