Tyler’s comment is entirely inaccurate. You can transfer your domain name away from us at any time and you do not have to wait 6 months. That’s not anywhere in our user agreement and would be very wrong. We pride ourselves on being the most reliable and most ethical registrar on the net. Tyler emailed us for the first time today and each time got responses within minutes. We have not denied a single transfer in out 11 year history. Not one. Only the admin email has the ability to decline a transfer. If they don’t, the transfer goes through anyway. As we tried to suggest to Tyler via email, what most likely happened is that he never finished the steps required by his new registrar to begin the transfer, which includes giving them the auth code, unlocking the domain, and approving the transfer at the admin email.

I have used Misk for 3 years. In 2007 I first attempted to transfer my domain from Misk, since then I have tried several times (every 6 months as per their user agreement) to have my domain transfered. It is niegh impossible to reach an actual person via their support phone number and my emails to support@misk.com are often ignored and Misk even denies recieving some of them. This is by far the worst company I have ever worked with in any respect. I strongly recommend avoiding them at all costs.

I’m using a malaysian hosting company http://www.eternalsolutions.com. They’re offering 10GB of space, unlimited email accounts, etc. for RM100/year. .com or .net is going for RM35/year. That’s pretty cheap.
