
Soon, uploading videos to YouTube for sharing is not only free but also revenue generating. YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley has confirmed that the team is now working on a revenue-sharing mechanism that would “reward creativity”. Chad said that this will likely to be launched few months from now. Ads will be embedded within uploaded videos. And of course, you must have copyright on the video in order to make a profit out of it.
Commercializing free videos, I personally think this will be pretty suck. Not doubt it’s tempting to try but imagine that you have to watch 30 3 seconds of ads before you can watch the real clips. I’m not really sure if this is a good idea.
