Google AdSense

- No images near ads - This has already be repeated again and again and actually I still see people does that. Images should not be put near the Google AdSense to encourage clicks.
- Ugliest AdSense Image ad - Google AdSense image ads are interesting, some are really cute but here’s one of the ugliest I’ve seen so far. Is this also the ugliest you’ve ever seen?

Auction Ads

- Auction Ads tracking issue fixed - Last week in the Make Money Online weekly updates, I mentioned about AuctionAds’s tracking issue with eBay, it is now fixed.
Nuffnang (Asian)

- Free Pirates of Caribbean tickets - Nuffnang is giving out free tickets to Pirates of Caribbean. All you have to do is write an entry with the title Where is the rum gone? and sent an email together with the URL to pirate[at]nuffnang[dot]com . I don’t know how many tickets are left available. My guess is there are still some.
- Nuffnang pays Advertorials - Nuffnang had approached me to write an Advertorial for one of their advertisers and I’ve received the pay in my bank account. That will be my first payment received from Nuffnang. As for the Image ads, last week’s earning was RM175/week, a slight increase from the previous RM145/week. I’ll be withdrawing them with it reaches RM1k.
Advertlets (Asian)

- Advertlets starts serving ads on my blog. Advertlets Image Ads are CPM based. I’m not really earning much from it, about RM10/day.
Direct Sales
- Thank you to those who approached me personally for reviews last week. It’s been a pleasure reviewing your product/websites. Here’s a roundup of advertisers who approached me personally or via 3rd party websites
- I’m sorry to two advertisers that I’ve rejected in doing the reviews. As much as I want to earn these monies and give a buzz for you, but the product/websites are just not within my niche. Hongkiat.com is a Technology Blog and I don’t think green teas and loans advertorials will interest the readers much. If you have a product for needed a buzz or perhaps banners advertising on Hongkiat.com, click here for more information.

Hey Hong Kiat,
Josh Lim from Advertlets.com here. You would earn a lot more either once our international ads come in, or if you get more local traffic.
Right now most of the ads we are running are targeted by country (international visitors don’t see the targeted ads and the advertiser is not billed, blogger does not earn), so the low earnings are due to low Malaysian visitors on your blog. I’ll say at the moment it works better for bloggers with high Malaysian visitors - we have some bloggers getting about RM30-RM70 a day.
But we’ll be running a more ads soon in more geolocations, so we look forward you and us making more money in the near future ;)
