Time is the luxury I can’t afford, that’s what I’ve been telling people around me. Working life is stressful, especially if you are in my position and it’s something I will not write more. (You know me then you know what I’m talking about)
The balance of my life - mahjong. If you think this is an old man’s time passing entertainment, you are fucking wrong. I read blogs about singaporeans, famous ones, stupid ones, everyone. Seems like Singaporeans like to play mahjong too, but Singaporeans play 4 sided mahjong - often call 4-kah mahjong.
Now, that is way boring. I don’t know what they like in it. It’s slow, annoying, time wasting. Sian, even my brother in Singapore plays 4-kah mahjong. Damn it. People around me play 3-kah mahjong. Fast, heart stopping, big credit turnover and fast thinker required. That’s what I call a game. I’m such a junkie, will spend most weekends playing. Weekdays too if I have the kakis.
I’m looking forward to accomplish all patterns in the mahjong-finishings. Let’s see,

haha yeah mj is a really good entertainment, trust me.
heh to me i still prefer 4-kahs mj than 3. 3kahs mj is like dream mj, u can get all the dream patterns relatively easy, esp with the 4 feis.
in 4-kahs, your aim is not only to win, but also not letting the others to win. u need to know whether ur opponent is going for 一色,平糊,or any 满糊.
of cos, besides reading the gameplay and knowing the players’ style, it’s enjoyable in the sense that u can force a one-番 out when ur tiles are really really bad and crush others potential 满糊. this is whr the excitement n satisfaction come in.
yea if u wanna know why i feel strong towards this destroying other’s hope to 满糊, last nite i was 单吊ing Nine Bamboo to complete my 13 wonders for at least 7 rounds before my fren won a 2-番. haha it happens.

Replyyou get every excitement you mentioned above in 3 kah. the difference is, you have to guard your and opponent’s tiles more carefully, as each has equal chance of finishing fast. now, that’s more exciting :)

Hi everybody. I like mahjong too. but unfortunately I have no real players to do it at home :(. Thanks Jade for the link. I have found some good place to play mahjong. Also I have found there good mahjong related items, especially I like clothes - really great Mahjong Gifts & Apparel May be you are like such things too :)
