Here is a friend’s blog I usually read from feed but decided to pay a visit today. I must say, the ads here are definitely overwhelming! The above print screen gives an overall view of content/ads ratio. Almost a good 45% of the interface is dominated by CPM and CPC ads, with in text ads and pay post as additional.

Google AdSense allows 1 Link Unit and 3 contextual per page but on most occasions simply filling up the quota don’t really guarantee more click through. I suggest the use of channels to better monitor which ad unit’s performance are doing good, then make the necessary alterations. Remove those that are not really making money, replace them with contents. You may earn an organic visit but if the page is ad-overwhelmed, visitor is not likely to come back. Ads are good exit points, the more ads you have the higher chance visitors are likely to click out instead of navigating other entries of yours.
